Carol J. Cutrona is a specialist on the role of women during the Civil War. She is the author of By Lantern's Light, a novel and screenplay about the courageous band of women who formed a Civil War MASH unit. She is a member of the National League of American Pen Women, Simi Valley Branch, and lives in the South Carolina low country with her husband, John.
