COLD JET LAUNCHES E160 PELLETIZER |
New pelletizer provides best output to smallest footprint ratio in
dry ice production
Cold Jet - the world leader in developing innovative, environmentally responsible dry ice cleaning solutions and production equipment - announces the launch of the E160 Pelletizer, a highly efficient dry ice extruder that has minimal space requirements and is designed to manufacture 3mm-16mm dry ice pellets and nuggets on demand. The E160 Pelletizer provides the best output to footprint ratio in dry ice production and has the lowest maintenance cost and lowest energy consumption.
"The E160 Pelletizer is easy to operate, can go to full production in less than three minutes and requires only half of the normal space needed by similar dry ice production equipment on the market today," said Wim Eeckelaers, Senior Vice President, Global Dry Ice Manufacturing, Cold Jet.
In addition to its compact footprint, the fully automatic E160 Pelletizer produces up to 160 kg (352 lbs) per hour of consistent, high density dry ice pellets or nuggets on demand; has the highest liquid to solid conversion rate; is simple to operate - either as a standalone machine or when integrated into an automated dry ice cleaning or surface preparation system; has a closed, stainless steel frame; can be operated from cylinders, dewars or storage tanks of liquid CO2; and has multiple industrial voltage ports, enabling global installations. Cold Jet once again sets a new industry standard for dry ice production with the E160 Pelletizer.

Tech Tips
Tony Lehnig, Vice President of Technology |
1. Tips to Avoid Foreign Object Damage (FOD) While Dry Ice Cleaning.
Cold Jet Aero Series dry ice cleaning systems provides in-situ cleaning with no secondary waste or damage to the surface being cleaned over a wide array of industrial cleaning applications. Critical to assuring there is no damage to the surface being cleaned or to the Cold Jet equipment is the avoidance of foreign objects in the Cold Jet Aero Series Hopper. The provided tips are reminders of what all Cold Jet equipment users need to know as part of a regular dry ice cleaning process.

2. Cold Jet Nozzle Dry Ice Feed Rate Settings for Dependable Operation.
Cold Jet provides unique dry ice cleaning nozzles to cover the array of dry ice cleaning applications - including the Low Flow, Standard Flow and High Flow series. For trouble-free dry ice cleaning, it is important for the system operator to understand the proper dry ice feed rate for the particular nozzle used at a specific operating pressure, relative to the quality of compressed air supplied.
Quality primarily refers to the level of water content in the compressed air. The provided Low Flow, Standard Flow and High Flow Nozzle graphs below give the recommended feed rate for good (standard) compressed air quality with boundaries for exceptionally dry and wet compressed air supply, to which the operator can refer for the particular nozzle used.
*If operator is unsure what family their Cold Jet nozzle belongs to, compare the identifying number located on your nozzle with the list of nozzles on our website.
