 | | War Eagle from the Atlanta Auburn Club! | | |
Greetings!
War Eagle and Happy Friday! Just a quick email today to remind everyone about our big upcoming events: Coach Malzahn on May 14 and our Golf Tournament on June 24. Details on both below.
We are talking to the Atlanta Braves about a date for our annual outing at Turner Field: the two Saturday dates offered for consideration are July 27 versus the Cardinals and August 10 versus the Marlins. If anyone has thoughts on either date, let us know! We want to nail that down soon.
Here's another date to get on your calendar: On Wednesday, July 10, we're going to be sharing some War Eagle moments at an Atlanta comedy club. AU comic Dave Williamson will be here for one night only. Full details, including information about tickets, soon.
This week was tough for everyone, especially if you were watching the Live Stream from Toomer's on Tuesday when our beloved oaks were removed. If anyone has any Toomer's memories, observations from the last roll on Saturday or watching the live stream on Tuesday, or old or new photos, or drawings that you'd like to share, please email them to us with TOOMER'S in the subject line. We will get together a special "Toomer's only" club email that compiles photos, video and links to some of the best articles we've seen. If you have any submissions, send them to us by this Sunday (4/28). Thanks!
Don't forget: Through May 1, you can see the Titanic or Bodies exhibitions at Atlantic Station with an Atlanta Auburn Club exclusive ---->20% discount on tickets. Click this link for coupon.

Exclusive AAC Donor Event with Auburn Coach Gus Malzahn
Scholarship Fundraising Meet & Greet at STATS on Tuesday, May 14, 2013
Auburn Head Football Coach Gus Malzahn is coming to Atlanta in May for a smaller, very limited-attendance event with the Atlanta Auburn Club.
It will be your opportunity for some one-on-one with coach, an autograph, and to hear his perspective on the 2013 Auburn Tigers football team, as we look ahead to the Fall season following A-Day and the Spring practices. This will be Coach Malzahn's only scheduled appearance in Atlanta, so don't miss out!
The primary focus of this exclusive meet & greet is to raise money for the Atlanta Auburn Club's 501(c)(3) Roy B. Sewell Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc., which has entered into a long-term commitment to build the Atlanta Auburn Club Scholarship Endowment at Auburn University, while still providing annual scholarships. With the ever-increasing cost of out-of-state tuition at Auburn, we want to make a real difference for students from the Atlanta metro area, but we can only do it with your support. Please join us in this mission.
