Please note: Due to technical issues, students no longer need to complete the Spanish 3 Honors assignment that was previously posted. Also, the summer assignment for AP US History and IB HL 1 History was recently posted.

Four Eagles Named to 2014 US Lacrosse All-Academic Team
Congratulations to Danielle O'Connor '14, Katie Roschak '15, Emilie Marcinkowski '15, and Lindsey Almquist '14 for being named to the 2014 US Lacrosse Girls' High School All-Academic team. Our Eagles made up four of the 15 Orange County selections. US Lacrosse All-Academic Team members exhibit exemplary lacrosse skills, good sportsmanship on the field, and represent high standards of academic achievement in the classroom. Players have also left their mark beyond the lacrosse field and the classroom by making significant contributions of service to the school and/or community.

OCADA's Female Athlete of the Year Wan Named to 2014 FINA USA National Team
Congratulations to Haley Wan '14 for being selected to the USA Water Polo's Youth National Team for the upcoming FINA Youth World Championships to be played in Madrid, Spain August 25-31. Wan, who recently was named the Orange County Athletic Director's Association Female Athlete of the Year becoming the first athlete in SM history to earn the coveted title, is a two-time CIF Division 2 player of the year and an Orange County Register water polo player of the year. Uniform Sales

Online Book Order Distribution
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, August 4-6th, 2014 from 7:30 to 4:00 p.m. on campus. Distribution will take place in room B112- enter through the parking lot facing the B building.
In Store Book Sales (if you did not purchase your books online) Juniors & Seniors- Thursday, August 7, 7:30 - 3:00 p.m. Freshmen & Sophomores-Friday, August 8, 7:30 - 3:00 p.m.
Please note: The Eagles' Nest Campus Store will be closed on August 4th-6th and August 11th.
All E-Books can be purchased during online sales and in-store sales.

Christian Service Summer Volunteer Opportunity
Volunteers are needed for Orange County Bike Camp 2014 at SOKA University in Aliso Viejo. The dates are Monday Aug 4th through Friday August 8th, 2014. Volunteers need to be there all five days. There is a mandatory training on Sunday August 3rd from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Volunteers can choose between five, 75-minute sessions and will need to arrive 15 minutes early. The Orange County Bike Camp 2014 is a collaborative project between the Down Syndrome Association of Orange County and United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County. iCan Shine is a non-profit organization that teaches individuals with disabilities to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle through its' iCan Bike program. Utilizing adaptive bike riding techniques, adaptive bike equipment, and staff from iCan Shine, Inc., DSAOC and UCP-OC will host this exciting, week-long experience for 40 children and adults with disabilities. It's that time again, the SMCHS Football 12 th Man Event is here! This year's event promises to be the best ever with dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, opportunity drawings, awards presentations, the retiring of jerseys and more. Senior College Night
One of the first steps seniors will take as you begin the college application process is to attend our annual mandatory Senior College Night which is Tuesday, August 19th from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Moiso Pavilion. This is an extremely important event for both seniors and parents to attend as we will go through the logistics of how to request your transcripts and letters of recommendation, how to link your Common Application Account to your Naviance account and other important and SM specific policies pertaining to this process. You can not apply to college without this information so please mark your calendars! We look forward to seeing you there!
