EAGLE UPDATE

FOUR EAGLES NAMED TOP GRADS

Each year, the Orange County Register asks public and private high schools across Orange County to name their top students in four areas - academics, arts, athletics and community service. And each year, the results are amazing: A vast list of extraordinary students who shine in classrooms, on sporting fields, in the arts and in their communities. What's more, many of them shine in all of those realms. This, year, 90 schools responded to nominate one student in each area for a total of 328 exemplary graduates. MUN RANKS AMONG TOP IN U.S.
MUN Named One of the Top 150 Programs Nationally

Congratulations to SMCHS MUN for being named one of the 150 Best High School Model United Nations Teams in North America for the 2013-2014 school year!  The list primarily consists of teams that received a school delegation award (e.g. Best Large, Outstanding Large, Best Small, Outstanding Small, or equivalent) at any multi-day advanced Model UN conference in North America with at least 500 delegates. This year the SMCHS MUN program won over 582 individual awards, including 63 Gavels, and a record 7 delegation awards at the Edison, Royal Russell (U.K), Tustin, Mission Viejo, Surf City, UCSB, and McKenna conferences. This year marked another record as SMCHS MUN has now represented every country that is a member of the United Nations. For the full rankings, Click Here.
