THREE SENIORS HOLD TOP HONORS
|

Congratulations to the Class of 2014 valedictorians, Austin Drysch and Garrett Williams, and our salutatorian, Scottie Butler. The valedictorian honor is bestowed upon the senior who has earned the highest GPA over seven semesters. The salutatorian title is given to the senior who has earned the second highest GPA. CLASS OF 2014 and 2013 GIFT SM WITH CAMPUS MAP
|

The Class of 2014 and Class of 2013, in collaboration with the Alumni Office and the
OC Goodwill, recently gifted the school with a beautiful lit campus map in a bronze display case as their class gift. Both classes raised funds for the project during their senior year by collecting donations for the Goodwill which translated into dollars toward their goal to purchase the map and display case. Thank you to both classes for leaving their mark on Eagle history and giving back to Santa Margarita Catholic High School!

WAN NAMED OC FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
|

Haley Wan becomes the first SMCHS student-athlete, male or female, to earn the title of Orange County Athlete of the Year from the Orange County Athletic Directors Association. Wan will attend Princeton University in the fall where she will play water polo. She is a four-year letterman for the SMCHS girls' water polo and swim teams. Grad Night
Grad Night 2014 begins at 10:00pm on Friday, May 30th. Grad Night tickets may be purchased online. Permission forms are online and must be completed and turned in no later than May 22nd at 3:00pm. 1st Annual Alumni Swim Race and BBQ
The first annual Alumni Swim Race will be held Sunday, June 1st at the Eagle Aquatics Center from 11:00am-3:00pm. Races for the entire family will be held, any age is welcome! Thank you to Michael Tran '09 who is chairing the event. If you plan on attending please RSVP to Ron Blanc as soon as possible so we can plan for food for everyone! Cost is free for you to attend.

Class of 2009 | 5 Year Reunion
Class of 2009, the five-year reunion is Saturday, June 28th at Dave & Busters in the Irvine Spectrum. The event cost is $45 per person now or $50 at the door. We will have dinner, dancing, DJ and game tables for the alumni to enjoy! To purchase your tickets, Click Here .

6th Annual Sarah DeMille 5K
The Sixth Annual Sarah DeMille 5K Memorial Run will be held on Saturday, July 19th at SMCHS. Registration will begin at 7:00am and racing at 8:15am. We will hold the "Future Eagle" run for those under 10 at 8:45am. Races will be followed by a pancake breakfast with vendors, music, prizes and opportunity prizes, so come join us! If your student has prescription or over the counter medications, inhalers, nebulizers, diabetic supplies or EpiPens in the Nurse's Office, please pick them up. Any items that have not been picked up by June 12 will be discarded. Have a safe and healthy summer!

Fiesta de Solano is back and will be held Friday, July 11-13th. Join us for games, rides, live entertainment, delicious food, a grand prize drawing, bingo and a boutique! Kairos 117 | Class of 2015
Attention junior class, Kairos 117 is slated for July 28-31st. We would love to have you go on this retreat. Click Here for your paperwork. Remember we need all three forms. We have a limit of 50 students, so please do not wait to turn in those forms. We are looking for alumni who have gone on a Kairos and would like to lead. Please contact Mr. Francis Cabildo for more information. We also have three other Kairos retreats next year if you want to plan ahead: Kairos 118 September 22-25, Kairos 119 January 13-16, and Kairos 120 March 3-6.

Scrip will be sold throughout the summer with the exception of the week of the week of July 28. Scrip sales are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30am - 9:30am and Wednesday from 1:30pm - 3:30pm. For information regarding the SMCHS scrip program Click Here. Do you have any D's or F's that still need to be remediated? Do you have any Health or P.E. credits that still must be completed? Don't forget that you can easily complete them during summer school! All our summer school classes are conveniently timed and scheduled so as to allow students to still enjoy summer activities while simultaneously taking one of our many academic offerings and/or P.E. Students and families, the launch of the One-to-One Program at SMCHS is upon us! Students will receive their Tablet PC at one of our distribution/training sessions at the end of the summer. There will be sessions on July 22, 29, 31, and August 5, 7, and 12. Although students must only attend one session, attendance is mandatory. Student parents or guardians should have received an email with instructions on how to sign up online for a distribution/training session. In case you missed it, Click Here to sign up. These sessions will fill up on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up early to get the session you want!
