EAGLE UPDATE


3rd QUARTER GRADES NOW AVAILABLE

Third Quarter Grades 

 

Third Quarter Grades are now available for viewing through Aeries and will not be mailed home. 

To view your student's quarter/semester grades, please visit our website at www.smhs.org.

  • Choose the PARENTS button at the bottom of the screen, then chose ELECTRONIC GRADES.
  • Log onto the Aeries program with your student's User Name and Password.  If you do not have this information, please email helpdesk@smhs.org. Be sure to include your name, your child's name, and their grade.
  • Once in Aeries, choose the GRADES heading, then choose the GRADES subheading.
  • This screen will display any quarter/semester grades that have been submitted for the current school year.

If you have any questions regarding accessing grades online, please email helpdesk@smhs.org .

Please direct any questions regarding grades to the teacher of that particular class.

Spring Dance

 

The Spring Dance will be held tomorrow, March 21st and tickets are for sale online, Click Here!  The Theme is 'Disco' and tickets are $12 until March 20th Tickets will be $25 at the door. This is and all grade level dance, don't miss out! No permission form is required to attend this event.

Basketball Competes in State Regional Final

 

Both the boys and girls basketball teams cleared another hurdle in their pursuit of a state title, advancing to the southern California regional championship game this Saturday, March 22nd. The Eagles will play another double-header at Colony High School in Ontario. The girls tip-off at 6:00pm with the boys immediately following at 8:00pm. General Admission adult tickets are $12, student/child/senior(65+) are $8. 

SMCHS Inaugural Dodgeball Tournament - Postponed

 

Due to the success of our winning Basketball teams, Saturday's first annual Dodgeball Tournament has been temporarily postponed. Please stay tuned for the make up date.

Stuff a Truck Event

The senior class of 2014 has partnered once again with OC Goodwill for the Stuff a Truck event this Saturday, March 22nd from 9:00am-3:00pm. All funds raised from this event will be used for the Senior Class Gift. Click Here to find out more.              

Youth Football Instructional Camp

 
Santa Margarita Eagles Youth Football Camp is open to all campers in the 6th through 8th grade Saturday, March 22nd.  The camp will be fun and challenging while promoting the proper fundamentals of football. The Eagles' Football Camp is perfect for all levels of athletes from novice to experienced. Athletes will leave with a better understanding of proper techniques, improved fundamentals, increased confidence, and the specific drills needed to continually improve football skills. Online Registration

 

Online registration for the 2014-2015 school year is now open. The registration fee through March 31st before 11:59 pm is $450. The fee after 11:59 pm on March 31st is $550. Detailed information about logging in to the Parent Portal to register was mailed home. Once you log-in to the registration site, your record will be filled with the information we have on file in our database. Simply verify the information is correct, review the 2014-15 tuition contract, and pay your registration fees with an electronic check. 
 

Cyber Safety and Bullying 

 

This class will provide a parent with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively supervise their children in the online world of social networks. Come to the Rancho Santa Margarita Bell Tower Regional Community Center on Monday, March 31st from 6:00-8:30pm. Click Here for more info.

SMCHS Father Daughter Dance

 

Santa Margarita Catholic High School cordially invites you "two" the Father-Daughter dance, "Double Trouble" on Saturday, April 5th. The Eagle Classic Golf Tournament 

FORE!!! The Eagle Classic Golf Tournament will be held Monday April 28th at Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club and we are looking for golfers and sponsors to get involved. CAMPUS MINISTRY

Freshman Retreat

 

Please join us in April for our Spring Freshman Retreat April 10-11, 2014. This is a great way to meet other freshmen. We have lined up a great group of upper classmen leaders for this retreat.  Click Here for all the necessary forms.      

Eucharistic Adoration

 

Every Tuesday, we offer Eucharistic Adoration in the Sacred Heart Chapel from 8:30-2:00pm. At 9:00am we pray the rosary, so bring your rosary beads and pray along with us. Please contact Nancy Hormuth in Campus Ministry to be added to the Eucharistic Adoration Group where you will receive additional information.                         

RCIA

 

The process called RCIA-Inquiry-Rite of Catholic Initiation for Adults is offered to Santa Margarita students who  are seeking to become Catholic.  This special formation has been adapted and offered to juniors and seniors who, after they complete their study, will receive the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at Easter Vigil at San Francisco Solano Parish. Please contact Nancy Hormuth in Campus Ministry.                                           

Morning Mass

 

Morning mass is offered Tuesday through Friday from 6:55-7:25am in the Sacred Heart Chapel. All students, faculty, staff and parents are invited to celebrate mass with Father Randy Sampinto.

Eagle Fund - Be the Difference

Measles Advisory for Orange County 

 

The OC Public Health Department has released a Measles Advisory for the Orange County area. Seven cases have been reported from the Orange County area. Symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, and red, watery eyes and a rash. Measles is highly contagious. Anyone exhibiting symptoms should see a physician immediately. Students who have not been immunized with the MMR vaccination should be cautious of their exposure to anyone exhibiting symptoms of Measles. For more information Click Here.

Scrip

 

Scrip sales are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30-9:30am and Wednesday from 1:30-3:30pm.  For information regarding the SMCHS scrip program Click Here. PTG

 

The PTG is an organization consisting of all parents, administrators, faculty and staff of Santa Margarita Catholic High School.  Its purpose is to promote and facilitate open communication within the school community and to support our school's policies and Christian philosophy.  Membership in this organization is automatic for all parents and employees. The Safe Homes Program is a voluntary union of parents to promote a healthy attitude against underage and illegal alcohol and drug use by SMCHS students.  All parents who are committed to adhering to the Safe Homes Pledge are offered the opportunity to be included on the Safe Homes list. Click Here for information about the Safe Homes program and to view a list of families who have committed to keeping their homes safe.
