SMCHS Earns #32 Ranking Amongst Nation's Finest Private Schools
| Washington Post Ranks SM as Highest Rated Catholic High School in Orange County in their Annual Survey
The Washington Post once again reviewed the top performing public and private high schools in the United States, and once again, Santa Margarita was ranked in the Top 40 private high schools in America as the #32 overall private high school.
Rankings were based on a school's academic performance. The Washington Post looked at AP (Advanced Placement) and IB (International Baccalaureate) testing results to see how high schools were academically challenging their students. With the highest number of students taking AP and IB classes and exams amongst Catholic high schools in Orange County (and with some of the highest passing rates on these tests in the nation), SMCHS has ranked in the Top 40 nationally each of the past 3 years.
