Opportunity to Host an International Student from Mexico in 2013-2014
Our school has been blessed to see students from around the world seek out our school and wish to become an Eagle. One student, Ana Sofia from Mexico, is hoping to make this dream a reality.
Ana Sofia will be a sophomore at SMCHS in the Fall and she is all set to attend school starting next week, but has run into a roadblock that may prevent her from realizing her wish to attend our school. She has not yet found a family to host her while she is a student here. Unfortunately, if Ana Sofia is not able to find a host family, she will not be able to attend SM and will have to return to Mexico.
If your family has been thinking and praying about hosting an international student, this may be your opportunity. A host family is asked to provide meals, a room and bed, and transportation to and from school and any extracurricular activities for the student. Ana Sofia is a good student with strong English skills who is looking forward to playing water polo here at SM.
She and her parents are here in Orange County this week. If you would like more information about hosting Ana Sofia, would like to meet her, or your family has prayed about this and would like to host her, please contact Ron Blanc, Admissions Director, at blancron@smhs.org as soon as possible. Hosting an international student is a tremendously rewarding experience and is a unique opportunity to positively impact the life of a student in our school community.
