Dear Parents,
Hope you all had a joyful Easter break with family and friends. Mothers Club is gearing up for our 23rd Annual SMCHS Mothers Club Luncheon and Fashion Show which will take place on April 28th. This event is our single fundraising event sponsored by Mothers Club for the entire year, with all proceeds benefiting our students. We hope you all can join us either by helping or buying a ticket. Meanwhile, our small social groups continue to make plans for more fun events throughout April. Don't forget to contact us if you are interested in helping on any of our committees for next year. Father-Daughter Dance
Attention ladies! Come celebrate an evening of dancing, pictures and prizes with your father, grandfather, uncle or other special person at the Father Daughter Dance on April 13th. Please RSVP ASAP!! Tickets can be purchased at the door. See Mrs. Schumacher if you have any additional questions.

Swim Special Olympics
The 4th Annual Special Olympics Swim Scrimmage will takes place at the SMCHS pool Saturday, April 13th from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. The SMCHS swim team volunteers to organize and run this scrimmage as well as to be buddies to over 50 athletes for local swim clubs.

A Center for the Arts
The proposed Center for the Arts will benefit both Performing and Visual Arts. The stage will showcase our outstanding actors, dancers, musicians etc. The lobby area is designated to highlight our Visual Art students work. Permanent displays and our Annual Art Shows will be held there. Please consider contributing anything you can to help us get this wonderful project under way. The first underwriters event is April 14th from 2:00-5:00 in Laguna Beach. Click Here for more.

Stuff a Truck
Spring into action and clean out those closets and your garage! This Sunday, April 14th from noon to 4:00pm, the senior class has partnered with the OC Goodwill to 'Stuff a Truck' and raise funds for the 2013 senior class gift. The SMCHS Bus Transportation Department is offering a complimentary round-trip bus ride to North County families on April 16th for Incoming Freshman Scheduling night. Senior Fashion Show, Luncheon & Boutique
The Senior Fashion Show, Luncheon and Boutique will be April 28th from 10:30-3:30pm at San Francisco Solano Parish Hall. Tickets are available online, get yours now before the show sells out! We're looking for senior students to participate in the parade of colleges grand finale at the Fashion Show. The cost per student is $10.00 and the memories are priceless! Class of 2013 'Movin' On Up and Off to College' t-shirts are for sale and can be purchased online. As always, we're looking for donations; contact event chairs if you'd like to make a donation. Every Tuesday, we offer Eucharistic Adoration in the Sacred Heart Chapel from 8:00-2:00pm. If you would like to spend some quiet time with our Lord in prayer, stop by on Tuesdays. You can also contact Nancy Hormuth in Campus Ministry to be added to the Eucharistic Adoration Group where you will receive additional information. |
Catholic Parish Verification Form
Attention current freshman families: If your family is registered at a Catholic parish, please download this form and submit to your parish pastor. Your pastor will complete the form and send it to SMCHS. Families that are registered and active at a Catholic parish in Orange County are eligible for the Catholic tuition rate. Parish Verification forms must be returned to SMCHS by Friday, May 10th. |

IB and AP Proctor Training for the May 2013 Exams
All volunteer proctors for the May 2013 IB and AP exams must complete an annual training. SMCHS proctor training for this year's exams will take place in the Athletic Building (R Building) 3rd floor banquet room on April 23rd at 8:00am for IB and 10:00am for AP. If this time frame does not work with your personal schedule please contact Cindy Cunha (IB) or Daron Gallina (AP) to make arrangements for an alternate training date/time.

Annual IB Ice Cream Social
All Class of 2013, 2014 & 2015 IB Candidates are invited to participate in the Annual IB Ice Cream Social on Friday, April 26th immediately after school in the Grotto. School photo ID will be required for check-in. Click Here for more information.

Please call your absent student in by 9:30am the same day he/she is out. If there is no call from you, your student needs a hand written parent note for their readmit. When we have a high rate of absences, the line for readmits is extra long and having the correct records will make the line go faster. The students need to be in their classroom seat 1st block by the second bell or a detention is issued by our office. To contact the Attendance office, call (949) 766-6020. Scrip
Simply by using the Scrip Program, SMCHS benefits and so do you. Volunteers are here to sell scrip Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30am - 9:30am and Wednesday from 1:30pm - 3:30pm. You may drop off your order at any time and our volunteer will contact you when it is ready for pick up. We will share the discount percentage 50/50 with you which can lower your student's school tuition or be donated to a school program. Click Here for more information. |
