28 Sep 16: Back by popular demand

After an absence of two years, Dick Reese is presenting again at the Light Green Machine Institute Annual Conference!

We have jam-packed program in store for you. You can see the program -- and sign up -- here.

Many people know that the Reese family has been prominent in the US pulp and paper industry for the last fifty years.  We are pleased to announce that Dick, the patriarch of the Reese technology troupe (he's going to kill me for saying that) is returning to the Light Green Machine Institute 7th Annual Conference in Raleigh.

Topic: Guidelines for Improving Paper Machine Performance and Reducing Energy Use

Abstract: Good paper machine performance and low energy use are critical to being competitive and profitable long term. Performance and energy benchmarks were developed in the 1970's and are upgraded regularly as quality requirements and operating costs change, and new technology is implemented. There are wide variances in paper machine performance and energy efficiency. This presentation will discuss how to benchmark performance and identify opportunities for making paper machines competitive.
