The last day of the year provides an excellent opportunity to look back on the past year and offer a bit of a preview of the coming year.

The Light Green Machine Institute had its best year ever.

First we might mention a bit of Intellectual Property we picked up: "Light Green Machine" is now a registered trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office.

We held the 5th Annual Light Green Machine Institute Conference in October on the campus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  This was in cooperation with the University's College of Engineering and Computing and the Paper Science & Engineering Foundation.

Attendance at this conference was a record and, from the attendance remittances, we were able to donate $3,000 to the PS&E Foundation.

Following that successful conference, the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point has agreed to be our host for the 2015 Conference.  It looks like it will commence on 20 Oct 2015.  More information to follow.

Just this week, we have started the filings and paperwork to make the Light Green Machine Institute a stand-alone 501c3 non-profit educational corporation.  We'll keep you informed as this progresses, and anticipate no problems with this action.

And, of course, you have received 52 weekly updates on our activities and ideas.

We are excited about 2015. We have many new things in store as the Light Green Machine Institute reaches its next stage of growth.

We would like to hear from you. Please send an email to jthompson@taii.com
