Dear Parents,
 
This Thursday please join us for our Open House.   Our meeting will begin at 6:00 in the Parish hall.  We will have a prayer and welcome from our new Associate Pastor Father Wyman, updates from your HSA, and a short message from Mr. Wright.  We will then move to the school to meet with your child(ren)'s homeroom teacher(s), and meet all the special teachers that offer our students great educational programs.

In our increasingly "screen based" culture, it is so important to have face to face interactions with each other.  We look forward to building a strong relational foundation for best student success.

On Friday the Home and School purchased ice pops for all students as a way to celebrate the end of our 1st full week.  Thank you Home and School!

Your children are learning about the virtue of Patience during the Month of August.  

Help Support the 8th Grade Class by purchasing a Save Around coupon book for $25 each.  Each book comes with hundreds of coupons and discount offers and the ability to access up to date online coupons with a mobile App.  If you would like to purchase one please fill out the order form and return it to the school office by September 6th.  Make checks payable to SFX School.
NEW ALTAR SERVER TRAINING 
Father Wyman will train new Altar Servers on Saturday, August 27th, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the church. New servers must have received First Eucharist.  If your child would like to attend please register by calling Molly Knerl in the Parish Office at 803-5417.  Training for Senior Servers/Cross Bearers will be announced at a later date.
Our "Saint of the Month"  Join us in contemplating the life and legacy of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.  She  modeled Patience beautifully.  She will be canonized by our Church on September 4th.

PARISH NEWS - SACRAMENTAL PREP- YOUTH MINISTRY
Children's Ministry activities will begin on Wednesday, September 14th at 5:30 p.m.  Please contact Shaun Byrne at children@sfxbirmingham.com for more information.  Children's Ministry is for students in K-5th grade.
  
Confirmation classes begin Sept. 14, 2016 at 6 p.m. in the parish hall.  The parent meeting has been moved to Sept. 14th .  Please join the confirmation class for dinner at 6 p.m. in the parish hall.  The parent meeting will be after dinner while confirmation students have their first class.  Contact Shaun Byrne at psr@sfxbirmingham.com  for more information.
