Dear Parents,

Pope Francis reminds us in his message for Lent...

"Faith finds expression in concrete everyday actions meant to help our neighbors in body and spirit."

On Friday, St. Francis Xavier teachers offered service to the Birmingham, Bessemer, and surrounding communities by splitting up into three groups and working at different local charities.  One faculty group worked the Pope Francis Habitat for Humanity House, another faculty group visited the recovering and homebound, and one group  served at First Light.

During this Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy, it is important that our faculty gain experience serving so that we can lead our students in training for a life of service to others.

Facing Mercy together,

Nathan Wright

Mrs. Hayes' 2nd grade wrote, edited, and published original Saint biographies with illustrations.  The books were professionally published, and each student had opportunity to purchase.  The 2nd grade recently had a book signing.  Great job students!
