KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

St. Francis Xavier School is now accepting applications for the 2016-17 school year. We are already receiving applications. Applications are available on the school website.

Items needed to register:

1. Completed Application

2. Birth Certificate

3. Baptismal Certificate

4. Social Security Card

5. Registration Fee $175 per student

* Application alone is incomplete registration. Please make sure to include all required documents.

** Current families with younger siblings registering please submit your paperwork as we have other families from other parishes and non catholic families who are interested in placement at our school.

Scholarship for Kids Is once again offering scholarships to those families who qualify. * Students must be accepted/enrolled in order to apply for scholarships.

BE PREPARED IF IT SNOWS...

From our handbook...

"In case of inclement weather, a Catholic school will usually close based on the closing of the public school system in which the school resides (St. Francis Xavier resides in the Birmingham City and Jefferson County systems) or upon the recommendation of the local Emergency Management Agency Director. Please verify that St. Francis Xavier is closed. We will send out a message from school cast, and via email.

Important: please review your "Renweb" emergency preferences so that you will receive calls to the appropriate numbers with calling posts and emails. If your email or number changes, please let us know ASAP.

CARPOOL NOTES

From our handbook...

***It is imperative that all families use the carpool system for afternoon pickup. Please do not park and wait outside the annex. Exceptions to this are parents who are taking students to after school activities on campus.

If you need a carpool tag for a family member, please contact our office and we can provide.

***In the event of an early dismissal due to weather, we will dismiss in a carpool system. Please form line next to school and wait for students.

Thank you! The organization of our school depends on everyone participating in the procedures.

KINDERGARTEN VOWEL SURGERY

We kicked off our Jump Rope/Hoops For Heart program in P.E this week and our school's event is Thursday, February 4th! This is a fun and exciting event for our entire school as we work together to raise money for the American Heart Association and save lives!

Your students will be telling you about the Lifesaver puppies. Each puppy teaches the kids a new way to protect their heart and avoid risk factors for heart disease and stroke.If you raise $5 your student will get Super Pup at school now. If that donation is made online, they will also get a second puppy, Ninja Star. Any student who reaches $85 online will get Martia N. Mutley. When students raise $50, they will be awarded with a t-shirt as well as an out of uniform day!

MARDI GRAS GALA TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Mardi Gras Gala tickets are on sale. Look for the order form and flyer attached to this Monday Memo. Tickets are $30 each which includes admission into the Gala, food, one drink ticket and $500 of "play" money for the gaming tables. Gala tickets will not be sold at the door and childcare will not be provided. Sweepstakes tickets go on sale January 19th, more information to follow next week.

The Gala will feature over 100 items to win including: free school lunches for one year, a Panama City Beach condo vacation, Star Wars "The Force Awakens" autographed movie poster, Wind Creek Casino package, Jump in front of the Carpool line, Walt Disney Word Tickets and gift certificates to restaurant, local attractions, day spas and much more!
