With all of the action of a new school year, don't forget a few of the small fundraisers that continue to help at TRCS:

RAISE UP Giving Day - Scheduled for February 23rd, 2016!

Join us on Tuesday, February 23rd for the first ever "RAISE UP" giving day, a 24-hour event that will help fuel our school's mission while shining a national spotlight on the global Christian school movement.

Christian schools across America will be joining forces to meet individually set goals -- and donate a portion to international schools!

TRCS has a goal on February 23rd of $10,000 towards the annual fund!  We're hoping to meet that goal and purchase a  new
Chromecart with 24 touch-screen Chromebooks for use on the lower campus.  Join us for Drive-in Donuts & Donations starting at 7:30 a.m. at the high school and 8:00 a.m. at the elementary campus. You can grab a donut and donate from your car during drop off! Or click here and begin donating when our RaiseUP site goes live: 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23rd!
Celebrate With Us!
As you're probably aware, the 2015-16 school year marks the 50th birthday of TRCS.   This year, instead of our traditional author event, we're hosting a special banquet to commemorate, celebrate, and tell the story of our school.
Please reserve Thursday, April 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for our "50th Anniversary Celebration Banquet" and join us for dinner, dessert dash and silent auction in the sanctuary at New Life (our high school campus), located at 2441 - 42nd Avenue in Longview. You can reserve your tickets online immediately at www.3riversschool.net, or by calling the elementary office at 360.423.4510. Tickets are free, but we will be asking for donations for the annual fund and future projects. We're hoping to have a huge turnout from our school community, and we'd love to see former families, staff and alumni for this inspiring event.
We're also looking for table hosts and event sponsors that will help us keep our costs minimal for this celebration. Click here for the sponsorship info, or drop by the school office.
We're also proud to be hosting the March "Business After Hours" for the Kelso-Longview Chamber of Commerce on March 15th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the high school campus. What a great opportunity to showcase all of the great things happening at TRCS to our business community! We'd love to have you join us for an evening of appetizers, live music - and the chance to win great prizes, like a weekend in Leavenworth! Tickets are available for $15 through the Chamber of Commerce website.
In other exciting news, we've reached a new milestone with technology. Not only do we have a complete "1:1 ratio" of devices at our high school for staff and students, but our elementary teachers now each have a complete technology "C.O.W." (cart on wheels) for their individual classrooms! These carts feature digital projectors, Chromebooks, a document camera and speakers. We're working towards adding a collection of BluRay players that can be checked out for special showings. This was a huge blessing funded by a couple of anonymous donors! The next project will be fundraising for rolling "Chromecarts," which will feature a power-charging cart with 24-touch screen Chromebooks that can be used by every grade level from PreK to 7th!
Our K-12 staff also just finished reading Draw the Circle: 40 Days of Prayer by Mark Batterson together. It's been amazing to see God answer prayers (including six new students!). Will you pray for us? I'm asking God for increasing provision so we can repair and update our buildings (new windows and HVAC systems), replace our aging phone system, and increase wages for our staff. I'm also praying for God to continue sending students and families who desire our ministry - and for us to continue equipping passionate, purposeful, Jesus-loving kids! Please also pray for our amazingly hard-working staff; they deserve mountains of rest and encouragement.
Thank for you for all you do to support our TRCS community!

Debra Zandi Early Learning & Child Development Center

I'd like to take the opportunity to invite you to a special night of learning and fun coming up on Thursday, February 25th! The TRCS Early Learning Center is a member of the Longview Early Education Partnership (L.E.E.P.) which is a group of 17 public and private preschool programs who are committed to providing the highest quality early education experiences for the children we serve.
For several years, our programs have received support from the Longview School District and from the Longview Rotary Club.

This year, the Longview Rotary Club is supporting all of our programs to host engaging math nights with a super hero theme we are calling Zero to Hero! The math night is an opportunity to celebrate math with games, make your own super hero mask, visit a super hero photo booth, and win popular board game door prizes. We ourselves will be dressed up as super heroes to celebrate this fun night and we will invite your children to join in the fun by dressing up as a superhero themselves for the evening!

As a bonus, each family will receive copies of the math center games to take home and play for at least 2 weeks. You will have a calendar to keep record of your "math game practice".

All children who return their calendar with practice recorded on it will receive a page of super hero stickers as a reward. The event will take place in your child's Pre-Kindergarten room from 6:30-7:30p.m. So mark your calendars now. You won't want to miss this special event!

Principal's Message

They're coming!

For many years, the TRCS family has been praying for more students.  This prayer is not about numbers or money; it's about the Lord bringing more students to learn more about Him.  A greater relationship with him and a Holy Spirit power to live in today's world is our prayer for our students.  We pray for strong academics for our students and teachers who love God and deliver His message.

In just the last 2 weeks, 5 new students have enrolled at the high school.  And do you know why they have come?  It's because they want to!  We have prayed for students who want to come not because they are in trouble or have poor grades.  These new students have come because they feel the tug on their hearts that this is the time for them to have a Christian education at Three Rivers Christian School!  At the elementary school 3 new students have enrolled recently as well!  God is answering our prayers.
So, all of you that pray for the school, keep the prayers going up.  As the old saying goes, "As the prayers go up, the blessings come down."  Our students are blessings and answers to prayers.  Keep them coming Lord!
