Enrollment is currently open for all classes. Forms are available on the website or in the school offices. Remember, to save $50 on your enrollment fee, you'll want to get your forms in prior to June 1st.
The 2015-16 tuition rate has been set by the school board with a modest increase to $5,500. The pre-payment discount will remain the same for those who wish to pay their tuition in full before the school year begins.
Financial aid must be applied for through the school's FAST system. Aid is awarded on a first-applied, first-served basis, so apply early to ensure that funds are available! Click here to review our scholarship policies.
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week is happening on all campuses from May 4th to 8th.

Child Development Center: Contact Debra Zandi, 636-1600
Elementary: Contact Marie Erickson, 430-3406
High School: Contact Carol Karns, 636-1600
This is a great opportunity to show our wonderful teachers how much we appreciate their hard work!
Tuition Assistance: What's the deal?
We've had a couple of families ask us why we place such priority on fundraising for Tuition Assistance every year.
It's a huge sacrifice to afford private Christian schooling. Education is a service provided by trained professionals, and by its very nature, it's expensive. We appreciate and acknowledge that sacrifice, and we work hard to keep our costs as low as possible while offering excellence.
There are no families at TRCS who receive a "full ride." The maximum aid that is given is 50%, and generally the aid is just sufficient to make the monthly bill affordable. We want TRCS to be an affordable option for as many families as possible, so we have prioritized fundraising that aid.
In awarding aid, we have previously relied only on a recommendation from a non-biased third-party assessor, FAST. This year, we will continue using the FAST recommendation, but a scholarship committee will also review those recommendations to ensure adequate funding and fairness in the case of extenuating circumstances. You can read the scholarship policy here.
Next year, we will be changing our fundraising model a bit, and our yearly goal will be to raise a certain amount for an "annual fund." That fund will pay for special projects and programs, and tuition assistance will become a consistent part of the annual budget (much like the model used by Christian colleges and universities).
We know to some this seems like a "forced redistribution of wealth," but we also want to use our resources for the benefit of as many children as possible. We are a school, but we are also a non-profit ministry, and we believe strongly that God would want us to invest his money (because it's all His, really!) in children first.
If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to share them! We appreciate our families and the amazing community donors who make the Tuition Assistance Fund possible!
"Invite a Friend" to school days!
We want to share our great school with more children! On Friday, May 8th (at the high school), and Thursday, May 14th (at the elementary), we're having our first "invite a friend to school day". We'll be sending home a form shortly, and you can return it to the office by Monday, May 2nd (for the high school campus) or Friday, May 8th (at the elementary campus) to reserve a space for your visitor! Only the first 8 students who sign up in each class will be able to visit, due to limited space in our classrooms. We also ask that the student visiting is with in 1 or 2 grade levels of the class they will visit. They will need to bring a lunch, but cupcakes will be provided!
| Administrator's Message: The Hunt for a High School Building
As you're probably aware, just a few weeks ago we sent out a press release (which sparked a Daily News article) about our hunt for a new high school location for this fall.
We've had a lot of great comments and suggestions about where we should land, as well as some amazing support from community pastors and supporters. We have been following up with every suggestion, making sure we're doing due diligence to find the best possible interim location for our high school.
We're hoping to have a firm answer to your questions within the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime, here are a few of things we're considering as we review our options:
- Is there a gymnasium on-site or very nearby? We want to ensure continuation of our athletic program.
- Are the classrooms equipped to house our students comfortably? Are they quiet, safe, and do they have windows? (We know what it's like to not have windows!) Any facility will have to pass newly adopted state regulations with an inspection.
- Is there sufficient student/staff parking?
- Is the location closer than what we've had previously? We want to make the commute between campuses as easy as possible for our staff and families.
We are so grateful to our families for bearing with us in this transition. I know that waiting for answers is hard, but please rest assured that we are working very hard to find the best answer as quickly as possible! Please keep your thoughts, suggestions and encouragement coming!
Onward and upward!
| Early Learning & Child Development Center
Early Education plays such a vital role in the building blocks of a strong foundation for childhood. We acknowledge that parents are the primary teacher in the life of a child and we honor that position and thus cultivate an effective partnership that will support building a foundation of a lifetime of learning.
Administrative Professional Appreciation
It is with honor that I acknowledge Administrative Professional staff JoAnne Dodge, Vicki Fortner, Linda Mills, Sue Siegel, Cindy Siegel and Brenda LeMonds. Your dedication to our ministry is a blessing to us all!
We are privileged to have staff dedicated to providing excellence in educational care and development of our students enrolled at Three Rivers Christian Early Learning Center. It is our dedicated staff members that truly make a positive difference in our school! We will be honoring them throughout the week of May 4th - 8th in appreciation of their service. Please join as we pray blessings and joy upon them!
A Mother's Day Keepsake
Glazy Dayz Pottery will be visiting classrooms on May 4th/5th, 2015 ( more information will be going out in your child's classroom). Participating students will be able to paint a special gift that will be glazed, fired, and then returned to the school for Mother's Day gifting! Order one for mom and a couple for Grandmas, too! What a perfect way to create a lasting memory for those we love!
Children in our Preschool 3's classrooms have been working diligently on music and activities in preparation of honoring their families on May 8th during a Family Celebration event.
Preschool teachers have been collecting information and data for their student's portfolios and will be sharing with parents during Preschool 3's conferences scheduled for the week of May 18th.
What an exciting time of the year for our prekindergarten graduates! Teachers, parents and students are looking forward to this event which is scheduled for June 5th for our Pre-Kindergarten students in rooms 5, 6 and 8; room 7 Pre-Kindergarten graduation is scheduled for June 12th.
K-12 Students are beginning the TerraNova Testing. Students will be tested on Reading, Math, Language, Spelling, Social Studies and Bible. The final day of testing will assess student's aptitudes in reasoning. Results will show national percentile rank, Bible proficiency, and much more. Please see that your children are rested and well fed.
The teachers here at TRCS are an amazing group. The amount of extra time and effort they put in to your students is so impressive. If you ever have a concern, please give them a call. They are usually the first line of information. Feel free to give them a big "Thank You" sometime.
Blood Drive - TRCS will be having a Red Cross Blood Drive on Wed. May 20th at the high school campus. Anyone willing to give blood should call the high school at 636-1600.
Spring Weather - As the weather turns warmer, please remember our dress code policy. Clothing should be neat, clean, and modest. The hard part of the dress code policy to enforce is the modesty part. Please remember that dresses and shorts need to be mid-thigh or longer. Pants/shorts need to be pulled up and tops should cover appropriately. Tight clothing is a concern as well.
Many blessings to all,
"Let your light so shine, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
TRCS Athletic Update
A Message from Athletic Director, Tim Carns
The answer to your question is yes. Yes, we will have volleyball. Yes, we will have basketball. I know many of you are concerned about where the High School will be next year and although I do not yet have the answer I can tell you TRCS will still have athletics. In the words of the great patriarch, Abraham, "God will provide."
Speaking of "provision", God has opened a wonderful opportunity for TRCS athletics to raise some needed funds. Calvary Community has graciously donated their Fireworks booth to TRCS this year. The booth is located at our Lower Campus on the soccer field. I will be emailing information out as soon as I know all the details. If you are wanting to volunteer and help please email me ASAP. If you are unable to help but are going to buy fireworks, please consider purchasing them at our booth.
