Multigenerational Service on Sunday, September 13
Remember to bring back water

Our service on September13 will be a Multi-generational Water Ingathering. We will celebrate the opening of the church year with a ceremony in which we each pour a small amount of water into a common vessel. The water we bring represents a part of our summer that we are bringing into the new church year. Whether you go on an exotic journey or vacation in your backyard, bring a small amount of water to represent your summer's spiritual journeys.

We're off to see the Wizard!

It's time to register for the youth & children's choirs for the upcoming church year and for the fall musical, "The Wizard of Oz." All interested choristers should register (click here), whether or not they plan to participate in the musical. Questions? Contact Director of Music Ian Garvie.

Children's Religious Education: It Takes a Congregation

By Charlotte Lehmann, Acting Director of Children's Religious Education

Summer is half over already and I haven't gone on vacation yet! Instead, I have attended a Junior/Senior High School Our Whole Lives (OWL) training in Nashua (NH) and a Spirit Play training in Melrose (MA) as well as cataloging into our electronic database all of the resources that occupy the shelves in the CRE Office. Did you know that CRE has parenting resources, including OWL curricula, as well as other curricula for religious education, DVDs and CDs, and a wonderful collection of children's storybooks? These are available for borrowing. If you are looking for something to aide you in raising caring and compassionate kids, please get in touch with the CRE Office ...  {more}
