Upcoming APW & SSR University
Turn-Key Marketing Systems

CBU is excited to announce that we will be hosting another Asset Preservation Workshop and Social Security Rescue Seminar University. Over the past twenty five years, financial professionals around the country have utilized seminars in order to share their message. Why? Well, the answer is simple. Seminars provide the ability to tell a story one time to a large audience, rather than to one individual at a time. As a result, you are leveraging the two most valuable assets that you have, yourself and your time.

Asset Preservation Workshop is a

complete turn-key system designed to  continually deliver new prospects to you each month by hosting a two-hour educational seminar. Plug into a complete marketing and business development system that provides a national speaker, seminar presentation, and estate planning attorney's expertise.

Social Security Rescue is a proven seminar system that is designed to educate married couples on the best time to enroll for Social Security  Benefits. This new system can show couples how to maximize their lifetime income by using fact finders, sales tools and professionally designed presentation materials.

Asset Preservation Workshop & Social Security Rescue

Not all seminar systems are created equal. A top producing IMO or FMO gets it. We market test and fine-tune our systems before offering them to agents. Two of our most popular retirement seminars - Asset Preservation Workshop and Social Security Rescue - have been pulling in attendance numbers that will knock your socks off, even in today's most competitive zip code areas:

  • Jeff Harder - Jeff hosted a Social Security Rescue Workshop on February 5 during a snow storm. Despite the terrible weather, Jeff still had 50 people (28 households) in attendance with 17 households requesting first appointments.
  • Zack & Karen Remington - On March 12, 2014, Chris hosted his first APW in St. Johnsbury, VT with results of 42 units and 23 people asking for first appointments.
  • Matt Dunn - His first two SSR workshops were on February 27 and March 4 in Charlton, MA with a combined 58 units in attendance and 39 people asking for first appointments.

Daily Vitamin C's
Five "C's" That Will Take You to the Top
MDRT
As the head coach of Northern State University's basketball team, Don Meyer was in the middle of a successful career when he was involved in a serious car accident in 2008. Surgery to treat some of the injuries he suffered also uncovered a diagnosis of slow-growing by inoperable cancer. Unable to speak, he wrote on a notepad to his family to ask when he would be able to return to coaching. It was this tenacity that ESPN acknowledged with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award during the 2009 ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) Awards. Meyer indeed returned to coaching and went on to achieve the distinction on winningest coach in the National College Athletic Association before his retirement in 2010. Below are Don's "five daily vitamin C's" that took him to the top and explained how you can adapt to find greater success.
  1. Concentration: Meyer sums up concentration as "the ability to focus and make the main thing the main thing." When advisors meet with a client, the need to make them feel like they're the most important person. For concentration in your work, use Sunday as a deadline for planning the next week's activities.
  2. Courtesy: You can tell a lot about a person by watching them interact with the very old or the very young. How to they act when encountered by someone who needs their help and has nothing to offer them?
  3. Communication: Improve your communication with clients and staff members. If you have a team or a company where people don't communicate openly, you have people who are scared.
  4. Compete: Concentrate on what's in front of you-not what's already happened. For example, great golfers focus on playing the shot in front of them, not rehashing the shot they just took. The difference between winners and losers is the willingness to accept responsibility. A loser will say "Why me?" and a winner will say "What do we do now?"
  5. Consistency: We control whether we're surrounded by mediocrity or greatness. If advisors find that they have high turnover with staff or are receiving poor work from them, they need to question whether they're setting an example of mediocrity themselves. Nothing is more harmful to your productivity than the neglect of discipline, for that discipline will determine who will get to the top in the end.
