Goal Setting for the New Year
It's important to set goals for yourself both professionally and on a personal level. Here are some ways to keep yourself motivated as we close one year and begin another.
To-Do List for the End of 2012: Stay prepared and keep your eye on the prize. Research companies you work with and service. Take inventory of your assets and liabilities.
As Kevin Frisbie says, "forget any missed opportunities and celebrate successes."
Looking Ahead to 2013: Set goals to stay focused. Create a plan of action and ways to track progress daily, weekly, and monthly for personal and financial success.

2012 Successes at CBU
A Year in Review
It has been a rewarding year for our agents at Combined Benefits United. We would like to take some time to highlight the successes of our agents for the 2012 year.
 Kevin Frisbie, Jac Arbour, Brian Heath, Doug Wright, and Bruce Macomber completed the Dale Carnegie Sales Advantage course.
Combined Benefits United offers a Northern Outdoors snowmobile extravaganza in February 2012!
 Congratulations to the following agents that qualified for an array of incentive trips offered to throughout the year. Agents qualifying for the Old Orchard Beach trip: Steve Apsega, Charles Wescott, Bob Stocker, Rich Cohen, Paul Arnold, Jac Arbour, and Kevin Frisbie. CBU Agents travel to Costa Rica: Kevin Frisbie and Jac Arbour. Washington National sends two agents to Hawaii: Nikki Shields and Brian Heath.

A Year of Accomplishment
A Look at CBU's Best 2012 Moments
 As we reflect upon the year, it is amazing how Combined Benefits United has grown! We have purchased our building at 89 Water Street in Hallowell. In addition, we have hired new staff. Shannon Ferran was hired in February as the CBU Office Manager. We began working with Recruiter, Juliet Kelsey-Holmes in August. Shayna Camp was hired in October as an Office Assistant.
Our office has begun to implement Sage ACT! for connecting and managing our contacts for agents and clients.
CBU would like to give a special mention to the Worksite Division for the year. In 2012, CBU enrolled the largest group for voluntary benefits with over 840 employees. This was the largest enrollment since Combined Benefits United was established.
We have formed many relationships with new agents and business partners. Carol Gilbert-Tondreau and Joel Davis of Cribstone Capital Management became connected with Combined Benefits United in 2012. Jeff Gaudette of Equity by Design presented the benefits of EDvantage college planning. Harry Grindall of Reverse Mortgage Solutions offered a new perspective for clients to be able to stay at home longer.
We have implemented new systems for the marketing and branding of support for agents and CBU. We've continued to add to the Producer Forum series in 2012 and have since added new members to the audience. This year, we also added constant contact to connect with agents and clients with a monthly e-newsletter.
In 2012,  CBU continued to be a major supporter for charitible organizations and community involvement throughout the state of Maine. Thank you for a great year in 2012.
