Reverse Mortgage Solutions
Helping Your Clients Stay at Home
Harry Grindall of Spiriter Reverse Mortgage Solutions spoke at the October Producer Forum and presented another system for agents to meet potential clients.
This system may be a solution for clients that are 62 and older and have a desire to continue to live at home. Reverse Mortgage Solutions can help clients liquidate home equity into cash and to use that money as a financial asset. Many thanks to Harry Grindall for his presentation! For more information, connect with Harry Grindall by email here or call his office (330) 338-0587. As always, we invite questions to the CBU office too.

The Higher EDvantage
A Turn-Key System
| | The HIGHER EDvantage |
At the August Producer Forum, Jeff Gaudette, President of Equity By Design, introduced us to his turn-key EDvantage system. Recently sixteen CBU agents spent two days training Lowell, MA with Jeff to learn the EDvantage system.
This system shows families how to more easily afford to send their children to college by virtually eliminating the administrative nightmare of the financial aid process, which is very time consuming and filled with countless opportunities for errors that can cause families to lose financial aid. By integrating sound financial strategies, EDvantage implements programs that help families more easily afford to send their children to college.
Here's what some of our sales agent attendees had to say:
"As good a workshop as I can remember attending! A terrific new product presented with some great selling concepts, as well as new ways of presenting and marketing an existing product...this was time very well spent. Kudos to Jeff Gaudette and his staff!"- David Kaplan
" Pleasantly surprised with both the system and the opportunity. Time well spent!"- Brian Heath
"Very informative and thought provoking. I am confident that this new information and access to these tools will contribute to more opportunity for me and my office."- Allan Beck
If you would like to learn more about how the EDvantage system can benefit your clients, please contact the CBU office.

Max Lynds, an agent with over twenty years of experience in the insurance industry, has continued to be a dedicated financial advisor for the Maine communities that his company serves. Max began as an agent with New York Life in 1989, and established his career at F.A. Peabody in 1994. He currently serves as the Vice President of Life and Benefits at F.A. Peabody in Houlton, Maine.

Max became associated with Combined Benefits United in 2011, and says "it has been a good match for F.A. Peabody." He believes the partnership is successful because of Combined Benefits United's excellent support and dedication to their clients, agents, and affiliates. The Worksite Benefits and Asset Preservation Workshop systems are well-structured, and Max says "if you have a good process, you'll do well." The support and guidance that Combined Benefits United offers has led to Max's continued success. In turn, this has encouraged many new clients to use F.A. Peabody as a resource in the Northern Maine region. F.A. Sales Tip of the Month
A Different View
The best "sales advice" I ever heard actually came from basketball icon Michael Jordan. During an interview he was asked "What is it about your game that makes you so successful?" Jordan said, "As I play the game, I am always trying to picture what the player guarding me sees. It gives me an edge because when I see myself from the defenders prospective, the path I take is more defined."
How often are we totally tuned in to what the client is thinking as we present? Are they still stuck on whether they trust you, as you rattle on about Caps, Spreads and Side by Sides? Our ability to get to yes, is greatly determined by how sharp our focus on "the other person's perspective" is. On what's important to them and in what order. The more we tune in, the more we'll be viewed as a trusted advisor. So next time, try hearing your words as if you were the client in front of you, and you'll be surprised at how much it defines the path you take.
You may be told that you're good at sales. That you're good at listening, will be closer to the truth.
