Upscale Yard Sale set for Aug. 25
 Looking for a yard sale with great stuff instead of junk? Want to come to one that's more like a must-see event with lemonade, snacks and rare finds? Head to our next wildly popular "Upscale Yard Sale" on Saturday Aug. 25, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 9515 Ocala Street in Silver Spring. Follow the bright yellow "Upscale Yard Sale" signs to the big event! Most items in this sale came from an antiques and collectibles shop that went out of business and still contain their price tags. We're offering the majority of those items (smalls, glass, art, etc.) at 50 percent off - and we're open to offers. Highlights of this Saturday's sale include a wide array of items from antiques to autographs. We'll also be doing some social good, too. Get all the details on the sale on the Orion's Attic blog. |

OA expands through Virginia and Maryland
Orion's Attic wanted to make it easier for more people to find our stuff -- so we've greatly expanded our reach over the past few months. In addition to shopping on our Web store at www.orionsattic.com (which also links to our eBay sales) and at our home by appointment, you can now find our stuff at the following locations:
Maryland
Drive up the I-70/I-68 corridor to visit:
- Frederick: Old Glory Antiques. We're in booth J-5, where we have lots of old magazine ads and small furniture that's perfect for your favorite household reading room.
- Hagerstown: Beaver Creek Antiques. High-end antique furniture and glass pieces. Look for us in the middle of the left side of the store, or ask for vendor "ORI".
- Hancock: Hancock Antiques Mall. Wide assortment of figurine, glassware, furniture and costume jewelry. We're in the back right of the store. You'll see our signs.
- Cumberland: Queen City Flea Market, located at 1 Bennett Lane (no Web site). Head to the third floor and look for the cardboard cut-out figure of John Wayne. You'll find a massive array of collectibles, china, toys, books for children, alcohol and tobacco collectibles and more.
- Kensington: Sage Consignment. We don't have a formal area that but it's a great place to shop. Ask if we have anything there at the moment.
Virginia
- Sperryville: Copper Fox Antiques. We fill a huge space there with a Shenandoah Mountain-sized china collection, antique and modern furniture and jewelry. Ask the staff to point you to our space.
