Greetings:

Todd Jordan
Acts 2:37-47 records the power and practice of the first century church.  According to scripture they were renowned for their discipleship, service, and generosity.  Today we strive to be that same kind of church.  To that end, this Sunday is Commitment Sunday.  Members and regular visitors are invited to pray about your financial giving to the church for 2016 and bring your commitment cards to worship during the 9am or 11:15am services.  If you did not receive a commitment card, or you leave it at home, we will be happy to make one available to you in worship.  Giving is one way we dedicate our lives to God in response for what God has done for us in Christ.  I simply ask that you to go to God in prayer about what giving means to you, and what your commitment might be for next year.  Thank you for your generosity thus far, and thank you for all they ways you will bless Christ's church with your prayers, presence, gifts and service in 2016.  See you Sunday!

ONLINE SHOPPING-www.umcmarket.org
Lots of online retailers will give a percentage of your purchase to Strawbridge UMC through the UMCmarket! All you need to do is visit www.umcmarket.org and register. Specify the church, "Kingwood Strawbridge".  Then when you're ready to buy, just log into your UMCmarket account and shop at any of the partner retailers and, PRESTO, a percentage of the sale is given to the church. We need $100 in the account before we get a check, so the more the site is used the more the church benefits.

Shopping has never been so easy and you don't have to leave home, fight the crowds or find that perfect parking spot!
