Todd Jordan
Greetings:

Forever is a long time.  The thought of it can fill us with great hope or profound dread depending on how you think you'll be spending it.  Jesus encourages his followers to be hopeful about this life, and the life to come.  He promises to love us in this life and the life to come.  And, through his triumph over death on a cross, we trust that Christ does indeed have the power to love us forever.  By this we are free to receive the abundant life he offers in the here and now, all the while looking forward to love's completion in God's heavenly kingdom when this life is through.  I invite you to join me this Sunday as we celebrate Jesus' powerful words of hope and love found in John 14.

 Dr. Todd Jordan,

 Senior Pastor

The June Mission Offering-Humble Area Assistance Ministry Back-to-School

The mission offering this month will be for HAAM's Back to School program.  This program provides basic school supplies for school aged children from families needing assistance.  We will be collecting notebook paper and construction paper.  The VBS children will also be collecting supplies. Please place donations on the Missions table in the Activity Corridor.

  Monetary donations are also welcome.

 Give Blood

Save the date for our next Blood Drive which will be held on July 26th from 8:30 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. in the Strawbridge

parking lot.   You can sign up on Sunday, July 12th and Sunday, July 19th here at SUMC in the Activity Corridor. You may also donate on a "walk-in" basis.  Besides making a life-saving

difference in as many as three lives for each donation, there are other rewards and incentives for "Commit for Life" donors. Please consider doing something self-less this summer - be a blood donor and save a life.
