Greetings: 

 

Having been condemned to die by the Sanhedrin, Jesus is taken to Pontius Pilate on trumped up charges that he is claiming to be King. Since the Sanhedrin did not have authority to carry out capital punishment, they had to convince Rome to do it for them. Even though Pilate sees no reason for it, in order to appease the shouting crowd, he begrudgingly agrees to send Jesus to the cross. The Sanhedrin pushed for it, the crowd cried for it, Pilate authorized it, and the soldiers carried it out; but who is really responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus, and what part did you and I play in it? Join me this Sunday as we continue to Walk With Jesus and find ourselves caught in the middle of Jesus, Barabbas and Pilate.

Spring Blood Drive

 

Our Spring Blood Drive will be held on Sunday, March 15th from 8:30 a.m. til 1:00 p.m.   In addition to helping fulfill the huge daily need for blood in our area, those who donate in this drive will receive a T-shirt and a coupon for $10 off a half ham from Honey Baked Ham Company.  If you can donate but haven't made an appointment, they'll be happy to take you on a "walk-in" basis.  Most of our open appointment slots are during the 2nd service.  Please consider doing something self-less this Lenten season - be a blood donor and save a life.

Navigator author Jerry Bridges addresses the "acceptable" sins that we tend to tolerate in ourselves, including pride and anger. He goes to the heart of the matter, exploring our feelings of shame and grief and opening a new door to God's forgiveness and grace. Join us on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at "Fun Little Tykes" on Mills Branch from 9 a.m.-11 a.m.  $5.00 per child.  This is a great opportunity for your children to play and for the moms to get connected.  There will be free snacks for kids and coffee for the moms!
