Todd Jordan
Greetings:

In Ephesians 2:10 Paul refers to the church as "God's workmanship." The literal translation of the Greek is "art pieces." How humbling it is to think of ourselves as God's pieces of art, but that is exactly how Paul describes us. The only question is how well are we portraying our Creator with our lives? Do we live in a way which accurately portrays God's intentions, or are we off a bit? Join me this Sunday where I will discuss what it means to be God's
workmanship, explore how art was used to communicate in the first century, and offer what it might mean for us in my sermon, "We Are God's Masterpiece."

Missions

August Mission Focus

Feed My Lambs Art

Feed My Lambs

is coordinated by

The Mission Northeast and supported by various local churches and civic organizations.

Feed My Lambs (FML) is a ministry that prepares and delivers sack lunches to residents of the White Oak Apartments, a low-income complex in Porter. On the third Thursday of each month, a team of Strawbridge volunteers gathers at the apartment complex to prepare sandwiches, assemble sack lunches (lunch bags are often decorated by

Strawbridge children's classes), then deliver the lunches door to door.

Visits are more than just delivering food-volunteers offer a blessing and take time to check on the well-being of residents. FML needs volunteers and financial support. Stop by the FML table in the coffee area to learn more. Prayerfully consider a gift to this local ministry.
