Tuesday mornings @ 10:00 am in the Library (Room 112) or Wednesday evenings @ 7:00 pm in Room 114.  Do you have questions about God, questions about Jesus Christ, questions about the Bible?

If God is all loving and all powerful, why do people suffer?

Isn't the Bible full of contradictions? Why are there so many different interpretations?

Join us for either class to discuss "Letters From A Skeptic: A son wrestles with his father's questions about Christianity" by Dr. Gregory A. Boyd.

Strawbridge 50+ Travelers 

        We will be off to see GODSPELL, by the A.D. Players on Sunday afternoon July 20th at 2:30pm.  Meet at SUMC at 1:00 pm.  Cost is $23, make check payable to SUMC.  Dinner to follow show at Michael Angelo's.  Reservations and payment is due in the church office by June 22nd.

We need help with hosting Homeless Families here at SUMC.  Our next Family Promise of Lake Houston rotation is June 8-15. The information boards are located in the sign up corridor. Please stop by and see where you and/or your family can help out.  You may also contact Corena at lipstreuer@peoplepc.com. 

 

Coffee with the Pastors 
 Come to Pastor Todd's office during the Sunday school hour (10:05-11:05 the 2nd Sunday of each month during the summer to chat about the mission and ministry of Strawbridge UMC.      

 

Ladies Game Night

   Be The Change!

 

Ladies Game night this month is Thursday, June 26th at 7:00 pm

 at Strawbridge United Methodist Church in the Great Hall (Room 114).

 

Please bring a travel size baby powder and deodorant for our mission outreach.

 

We will be playing BUNCO!

 

We will also be having a taco bar.  Please bring items for the taco bar

 to share with everyone.

The meat and soft tacos will be provided.

Children's Ministries

  

New Summer Sunday School!

 

Have you ever wanted to go to Sunday School in a camping tent?

Our Children's Sunday School will meet in the Student Activity Center for "Camp Strawbridge." There will be a large group time starting at 10:15 and then they will break into their tents at 10:30.

  

The Third Grade Sunday School class would like to THANK YOU in your support for their charity project.  They raised $162 dollars with the sale of their artwork.  They purchased supplies for 25 bean soup packages, diapers and wipes to donate to HAAM.  The class also made a $100 donation to AYM to purchase supplies.  The kids learned a lesson on charity and service through their efforts with this project.

AYM MISSION TRIP TO FT. WORTH -June 8-14   

 

June 15th-Sunday-Lead Worship for both services, 9:00 Traditional and 11:15 Contemporary.

 

June 18th-Wednesday-Youth at Pleasure Pier, Galveston, Reg. by June 7th online or at the Church.

 

Living Water Mission Trip
 

Vacation Bible School          June 23-27

                        

                           We'll explore the world of Weird

                   Animals and discover Jesus' love is one-of-a kind.

  •  9:30 am - 12:00 pm
  •  Vacation Bible School is for children ages 3 yr (as of 9/1/13) through completed 5th graders.
  • Cost: $5 per child (includes t-shirt and Friday Lunch)
