To ensure your church contributions are tax deductible, do not file your 2013 income tax return until you have received a written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church. Some of your contributions may not be tax-deductible if you file your tax return before receiving a written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church. Year-end contribution statements for 2013 will be mailed by 1/31/2014. Contact Ann Bryan with questions about your contribution statement. 

To date Advent Offering donations to date total almost $15,000. That's a blessing, but still short of our $20,000 goal. The Strawbridge Mission ministry operates independent of the church budget, so we depend on Lenten and Advent offerings to support our local outreach ministries. It's not too late-please consider  (1) making a gift if you have not yet taken the opportunity, or (2) increasing your donation.  Remember...."it is in giving that we receive".  

UMC Market 

Lots of online retailers (like Amazon and Expedia) will give a percentage of purchases to Strawbridge UMC through the UMCMarket! All you need to do is visit www.umcmarket.org and register. Specify the church, "Kingwood Strawbridge". When you're ready to buy, just log into your UMCmarket account and shop at any of the partner retailers and, PRESTO, a percentage of the sale is given to the church.
