I've been on a sweater kick lately. It's summer, but it makes total sense to me: if I want a new sweater (or sweaters) to wear in the fall, now's the time to knit it. Make sense?
This one was knit with a new-to-Double-Ewe yarn,
Soie et Lin from Knit One Crochet Too. (Soie et Lin means Silk & Linen in French.) A silk/linen blend with wonderful drape and softness. Little flecks of color give it a tweedy look. We've got it in a bunch of colors, and I chose a denimy blue for my new sweater. There are some gorgeous patterns written for it, and I put them in a
Soie et Lin bundle for you to check out. The one I knit is the
Alsace Cardie.

Cables and lace, so pretty. Tami knit this with a Frolicking Feet Gradient Mini Skein Pack.
We just restocked on them - all the colors are now available! The pattern is called
Milton and is available on Ravelry or at Double Ewe.

This just in: We have more of our
Looking Glass Shop Hop yarn!! Limited quantities, get it while you can! And as long as they were dying our color, we had them dye a small batch of
Jeanette to match. SO luxurious. So decadent. It's 65% cashmere and 35% silk. Again, limited quantities and all that.

Today's FO to share is Tami's
Retro Baby Blanket. She test knit the pattern for our friend Teresa Boyer (treesinit on Instagram), and now the pattern is available on Ravelry. Incredible job, Ladies!

Brae Tweed is back! I carried this luscious yarn back in the "old" Double Ewe, before we closed. I loved it then, and I still do, so I brought it back to the "new" Double Ewe. It's so soft, a blend of merino, llama, wool and bamboo, and the color choices are gorgeous. My sweater is called
Winter Butterflies, but there are a bunch of other choices I put in my
Brae Tweed Bundle. I can hardly wait for fall to wear it!

Have you seen these? We blew through our first shipment really quickly, so maybe not. Stemless wine glasses from Knit Baah Purl. UPS just dropped more off. Yay! We also have cute project bags and gift tags. Fun stuff!

New at Double Ewe
I've been wanting to add
Suri Merino from Blue Sky Fibers to our bag of tricks for a while, and I finally bit the bullet and got it. It's just luscious. We don't have a shop sample knit up to show you yet, but just look at it. Yum. I did put together a
Suri Merino Bundle to get some ideas going. Right now I'm deciding between the Bianca Poncho or the Cabled Cowl. Hmmm.

Next up, another yarn from Blue Sky Fibers:
Woolstok. About 10 minutes after I got the sample skein and color cards in the mail, I ordered it in every color available. I couldn't wait! And look at the colors!! It's a new yarn, so there isn't a ton of activity on Ravelry with it, but just wait. I swatched last night, and this weekend I'll be starting a(nother) sweater. They've written some lovely patterns for it, but the possibilities are endless!

And finally, two more "It's back!" announcements. These both are yarns that I carried in the past. When we re-opened the shop two years ago, I decided to try some different yarns, but I missed these ones a lot, so we've brought back two old favorites.
It's Back: Dreambaby!
Such a nice baby yarn, and apparently a of you missed it too. Machine washable, very soft, with a really nice price. We've got it in solids and a self-patterning version called Paint Pot. This is just a sampling of the colors we've got - there are lots of choices! I also put some patterns together in a
Dreambaby Bundle, but there are so many more possibilities.
It's Back: Babyboo!
From Knit Once Crochet Too. Not just for babies, this bamboo/nylon blend also makes really nice adult garments. Soft, drapy, easy care. I knit a sweater for my oldest granddaughter years ago, and it's held up really well. Actually, if you scroll down to the end of this newsletter, you'll see my youngest granddaughter snoozing in it. Handknit hand-me-downs are great! See more ideas in my
Babyboo Bundle.
