Shawl inspiration from Gaby.  Or maybe I should say "shawlspiration".  Yeah, I like that.  This one's called Rondelay and Gaby used one skein of Frolicking Feet.  As usual, she takes great notes, so here's a link to her project page.

Crock-O-Dye is back at Double Ewe!  Such a pretty wool/silk blend.   Tami used just one skein and one pack of beads for this very pretty Annis Shawl, and we've got it in a bunch of gorgeous colors.  And here's another bundle for more ideas.

Some of you saw me working on this one at the shop, or maybe you followed along on Facebook or Instagram last Saturday as I finished it.  Here's it's final photo after it took a little ride in the washer & drier.
PatternGabriella
Yarn:  DungarEase from Knit One Crochet Too.  I LOVE this yarn.  It's a cotton/acrylic blend with a vintage denim look and easy care - machine wash and dry.  And soft!  When I finished this sweater, I washed and dried it with my regular laundry, and it came out just beautiful.  Want more ideas for this great yarn?  Here's another bundle  for you to check out.

Classes & Knit Alongs Coming Up Soon...

Here we're just highlighting a couple of classes that start very soon.  For our current, complete class list and details, click here.  To register for classes:  stop in, send an email to kelly@double-ewe-yarn.com, or call 763-795-9276.

Kelly's Workshop is an ongoing workshop style class.  Jump in and out whenever you want, and only pay for the classes you attend.  You pick the project, we provide the support.  Even if you've never knit before, we can teach you.  Mittens?  Socks?  Lace?  A sweater?  Learn how to fix those pesky mistakes or how to seam nicely.  Stitch what YOU want, but if you get stuck, don't worry, we're right there to help you.  This is a great option if you want to take a class with a friend, but you knit at different levels.  Come to just one class or come every week - your choice.  These workshops meet every week and have no end date, and will continue through the summer.  You do not need to register, just show up!
When:
  Wednesday afternoons 4 - 6 pm  --or--  Thursday mornings, 10 - noon
Cost:  $5 per class session

Basic Socks Knit Along
We'll be knitting what I call "plain vanilla" socks.  Top down, one at a time, using double point needles, your choice of cuff length.  If you want them to go quickly, use a worsted weight yarn for warm, thick socks.  If you want thinner, wear-in-your-shoes socks, you can use fingering weight yarn - your choice!
Dates:  Thursdays, June 9 - 23 (3 weeks)
Time:  4:00 - 6:00
Cost:  Free, but we do ask that you purchase your materials at Double Ewe.
Materials:  Worsted weight - about 150 grams of yarn and size 4 DPN's.  Fingering weight - 100 grams of yarn and size 1.5 DPN's.
Craft:  Knit

Gentle Hug Moebius
Crochet the magical moebius with lovely lightweight mohair blends and a large crochet hook.  Moebius crochet is quick & rewarding, and lace-weight mohair surrounds you like a gentle hug.  Join the  fun and add this technique to your crochet "toolbox".  You'll learn the foundation single crochet, which is a relaxed method for beginning the cowl.
Date:  Tuesday, June 14
Time:  6:30 - 8:30
Cost:  $13 plus materials (pattern is included in the class fee)
Materials:  One ball of Kid Gloss (a lace weight mohair/silk blend);  size L crochet hook, locking stitch marker.
Instructor:  Diane Augustin
Craft:  Crochet

Come knit & crochet with us!  Work on whatever you want, no registration, no string attached, just show up.
Tuesday evenings, 6:30 - 9
Friday afternoons, 1:30 - 5:30
And on most Saturdays, you'll find me knitting at the coffee table - come join me!

We gather these times each week, however if you find yourself with some time to kill, or you just want a little escape, stop on by anytime we're open and find a spot around the coffee table.

Please note:  Open knitting is not a class.  Although we're always happy to answer questions as time permits, sometimes it gets a bit hectic.  For more dedicated help, consider coming to one of Kelly's Workshops:  Wednesdays from 4-6, Thursdays from 10-12.  $5 per class.
