It's Here! It's Here!  It's Here!

Well, it's almost here: The Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop runs from April 7 - 10.  Wait a sec...that's tomorrow!  For the full scoop, you can visit MinnesotaYarnShopHop.com.  There are lots of prizes - including daily prizes.  Even if you can't make it to all the shops, I highly recommend at least hitting a few.  It's great fun for us fiber folks.

Please note:  In order to prepare for the Hop, we will not be having this afternoon's class, Kelly's Workshop, and tomorrow morning's workshop is cancelled as well.  Our normal Friday get together is also put on hold this week.  The shop's going to be hopping!

What Have We Been Stitching?  What's New?
What Might I See At The Hop?

Here's some of what we've shared on Facebook/Instagram since we last chatted:

Posted March 9:
Tami took one skein of Malabrigo Chunky and knit this cute Captain Hat.  And the pattern is a freebie on Ravelry!

Jenny showed up for class yesterday wearing her new Comodo.  So cute, so flattering!  She knit in Vintage from Berroco.

Kerri knit up this cute little girl's summer top with Cobasi DK, a blend of cotton, bamboo & silk.  It's a really nice choice for warm weather garments and accessories.

Fresh off the hook!  Finley Newsboy hat crocheted with Blue Sky Organic Dyed Cotton.  The pattern is available on Ravelry and at Double Ewe.

A little something to keep her shoulders warm.  Knit with 365 Cotone, new for spring.  I can't say enough good about this cotton yarn!  Soft, light & sproingy, a pleasure to knit with.
Pattern:  Suzanne Elizabeth Shrug by Taiga Hilliard Designs, sizes newborn - 4T.

Posted March 25:
One skein of Primavera, new from Lana Grossa, a set of size 11 needles, and a copy of Drop YO Scarf! (a Double Ewe freebie) is all you need.

Have you seen shadow knitting?  It's also called illusion knitting, and it's great fun!  The hearts appear and disappear as the wearer moves.  It's so cool looking, and it's not difficult at all.  For this pattern and more examples of shadow knitting, check out my bundle of ideas.  This jumper was knit with Tatamy DK, a washable, soft cotton blend from Kraemer Yarns.

Hanging Out at Double Ewe
Come knit & crochet with us!  Work on whatever you want, no registration, no string attached, just show up.
Tuesday evenings, 6:30 - 9
Friday afternoons, 1:30 - 5:30
Saturdays, starting at 9am

We gather these three time each week, however if you find yourself with some time to kill, or you just want a little escape, stop on by anytime we're open and find a spot around the coffee table.

Please note:  Open knitting is not a class.  Although we're always happy to answer questions as time permits, sometimes it gets a bit hectic.  For more dedicated help, consider coming to one of Kelly's Workshops:  Wednesdays from 4-6, Thursdays from 10-12.  $5 per class.

Just a little peek into the stuff I do outside of Double Ewe.  We had great fun flying kites with the grandkids last weekend!
Buh bye.
