Good day!
Today I've got a few new projects we've recently finished to share with you.  If you're looking for a quick gift idea, check out the super chunky cowl Emily is wearing below.  'Tis the season of super chunky - those big stitches make it super quick!

Also worth mentioning:  we've still got some room in our classes this week, so if you're looking for a fun evening, check them out.  Both of them are just one session, so no big commitment, just a fun escape.
Fresh Off the Needles!

Gaby recently finished this gorgeous vest.  The pattern is called Ardys, and is available on Ravelry or at the shop.  She used Stained Glazz, which was new to our bag of tricks this fall.  It's a blend of wool & acrylic in an aran weight.  Plymouth has some other suggestions for what to  knit with it, and I put them together in a Ravelry Bundle for you to peruse.  Oh!  And I found one more pattern on Plymouth's website that I thought was worth sharing:  Stained Glazz Scarf.  Pretty!

And how cute is this?  It's a little man-sweater!  Tami knit this one, and she used Merino Extrafine 85 - a superwash 100% merino wool.  The pattern is called Elwood.  This yarn has been around for a while, and lots of knitters have made lots of things with it, so again I put some of them in a bundle for you.  So many ideas!

--------------------

If you're looking for a quick gift, this might be just the one for you.  The outside is knit with Zumie (or any super-chunky yarn), and it's lined with the super-soft Caribou.  So warm and cozy, it's a great Minnesota January-February cowl.
Pattern:  Twig by Tiny Owl Knits.  Super chunky yarns are great for quick gifts, and I've put together a bundle of some other ideas for you.

And finally, Emma's Christmas stocking.  I finished this one in the nick of time.  The pattern is Nancy Lindberg's Christmas Sock - my all time favorite pattern for Christmas stockings.  I used Lamb's Pride, with a little bit of Angora for Santa's hat and beard.  This is the fifth one I've made, but I doubt it'll be my last.
Who's Who at Double Ewe:  Kelly
Favorite craft?  Knitting!

What other crafts do you enjoy?  I also love to crochet, and I sew a bit...a tiny bit.  Although, I mostly just buy fabric and think about sewing.

How long have you been knitting or crocheting?   I've been knitting obsessively about 13 years.   I crocheted a little bit when my kids were babies, so that was about 30 years ago, but that was only a couple of projects.

Favorite knitting technique?  Cables, and stranded colorwork.  But sometimes I just love plain old stockinette - it's the best TV knitting.

Favorite items to knit?  Sweaters for my grandkids!  Hats for them too.  And blankets.  Grandma knitting is my favorite.  :)

Tell us about your family - spouse, kids, grandkids, pets?
I live with Francis; he's my husband and the guy that makes Double Ewe possible.  My kids are grown, and my daughter Emily lives with us - you've probably seen her at the shop.  Just to add a little crazy to our household, we have three parrots.  My son and daughter-in-law brought us three grandkids: Davian, Dominic & Emma.  They're the little people you sometimes see at the end of the newsletter.

Favorite other non-fiber activities?  My not-so-secret, non-fiber diversion is gaming.  Minecraft is my current favorite (we play online with my oldest granddaughter and son), but lately I have a hankering to play World of Warcraft again - that one's my all time favorite. I bet you didn't know that about me!

Ravelry?  I have a lot of my projects on Ravelry, and my username is KellyJudson.  I tend to put them out there sporadically, and right now I'm behind a bit.  If you'd like to see what I do have out there, feel free to take a peek.
