Dear SGES Family,

 

The students and teachers enjoyed a good first week back to school after the Christmas break.  On Tuesday night, we welcomed back all of our alumni.  It is always great to have them back on campus and to hear what they are doing. 

 

Also Tuesday night, we honored our state champion cross country team.  The teams were recognized between games and were presented with a banner that will hang in the gym to honor the school's first every varsity state championship.

 

The basketball teams are in full swing and this year we have six teams featuring students in the 5^th through 9^th grades.  The 5^th and 6^th grade teams play at home this Monday, 11^th, at 4:00 and 5:00 pm.  The middle school and junior varsity teams play at home on Tuesday, 12^th with the first of four games beginning at 4:00 pm.   We hope you will come out and watch these students perform.

 

Report cards will be distributed on Monday, 11^th and honors chapel will be Friday, 15^th immediately after Celebration Chapel. 

 

All new parents are invited to stay after Honors Chapel to meet with me to discuss items upcoming for the second semester.   Also, I hope new parents will provide feedback on their experiences from the first semester.  If you cannot attend, please feel free to email me with any questions or comments lcollins@sges.org.
