It's time to start thinking about SUMMER!!  Camp Blaze is gearing up for some fun. Below you will find camp descriptions and the daily schedule.  We are excited to host your children through the summer.  There are lots of activities to choose from and qualified staff to engage your children in meaningful activities that will keep them busy all summer.  Please share this with family and friends, Children ages PK3 - 5th are welcome to attend. Week of June 1 - 5
Cultural Exchange with Beth Davidson 

Take a peek at what life is like for children around the world! We'll investigate the landscapes, people and culture of far-away lands.

 

Sports Camp I with Brittany Conley 

  

Kids will enjoy a week of sports including hockey, volleyball, soccer and basketball.   Each day will consist of fundamentals and games.  There will be prizes for individual winners each day.  On the last day, campers will enjoy a day of scrimmages for each sport covered during the week.  This camp is for 2nd - 5th grade students.

 

Week of June 8 - 12
Karate with Michelle Worth

Join Master M. as she teaches basic Karate techniques.  All skill levels are welcome to attend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Week of June 15 - 19
Game On!  with Mrs. Leslie Brooks

 

Get your GAME face on! During this week of camp, students will play games from various categories. Students will learn ways to use strategy in classic board games, become savvy with computer games, get moving on the Wii, and participate in organized outside games. Please wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Games will range from Candy Land, Battleship, and Solitaire to Mahjong, Just Dance!, and Crab Ball. Game on! 

 

 
Week of June 22 - 26
Symphony of the Five Senses with Mrs. Guillebeau

 

Imagine if you only had one sense. What would the world be like? This week at camp, come explore the world using a different sense each day.... From tasting green milk (don't worry parents) to making slimy ooblek, let's explore a world in a way we've never seen before!


 

 

Week of July 6 - 10
Messy Hands Art Camp with Meredith Thacker

 

Join SGES Art Teacher Meredith Thacker for a hands-on exploration of art.  Campers will enjoy painting, drawing and sculpting. 

 

Week of July 13 - 17
Earth, Wind and Fire with Mrs. Kelly Bell

 

During this camp, each day students will experiment with some form of earth, wind and fire.  Some of these experiments will end up being a work of art and some will explore the senses.  Students who attend this camp will be digging in the dirt for treasures, creating cars that move with the wind and making confetti fire crackers, just to name a few.  This camp is for students who are Pre-K through First Grade.

Over the Rainbow with Mrs. Betty Bryant

 

Spend the morning with Mrs. Betty creating funthings including      tye-dye t-shirts, tye-dye cakes and lots more!

Daily Camp Schedule

7:30 - 9:00: Arrival; Morning Stretch

 

9:00 - 12:00: Camp sessions 

                                                *Snack time at 10:30

 

12:00 - 12:30: Lunch

 

12:30 - 2:00: Naptime for little ones (12:30-1:45)

Downtime for older kids

 

2:00 - 2:40: Afternoon Activity 

 

2:40 - 3:20: Afternoon Activity 

 

3:20 - 3:30: Snack Time

 

3:30 - 4:10: Afternoon Activity 

 

4:10 - 4:50: Afternoon Activity 

 

4:50 - 6:00: Downtime; Departure

 

PARENTS MUST WALK INTO THE LUNCHROOM AND SIGN-IN CAMPER

NO DROP-OFFS ALLOWED

FYI ...

 

*Any designated downtime will incorporate classic, wholesome movies and television shows, outside playtime, inside playtime, etc.

 

*All children must bring their own lunches. Microwaves are available for heating.

 

*Afternoon Activity sessions will include a variety of P.E., music, art, and science multiple times per week. These sessions will also include going to the school computer lab and playing educational games, going to the park across the street, specified Lego time, dance party time, water play, and field trips.

 *Change of clothes (a cubby will be assigned to your child to keep their things tidy)

 

*On water activity days:

*Sunscreen and bug repellent (if your child is sensitive to mosquitoes).
