Dear St. George's Family,

The SGES Learning Enrichment Center (LEC) sponsored two great events this week. On Wednesday, photographer Greg Foster shared several of his pieces with the middle school and community members at our most recent "Lunch and Learn." Mr. Foster has been a professional photographer for over twenty years and has had photos in ESPN the Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Time, and other publications.

On Thursday night, the LEC hosted a parent discussion on "Navigating Social Media with Your Child." Trey Sheneman, co-founder of Pipeline, Inc., lead the conversation with parents on current trends in social media, pros and cons of several sites, and topics to consider discussing with your child.

The 5th through 8th grade students did a wonderful job presenting their Science Fair projects to judges. The judges are scientists from UGA-Griffin, Gordon State College, CDC, and other local organizations. All of the judges had very favorable comments about the students' projects and presentations.

The Get-Away-Gig is next weekend. There will be several outstanding pieces to bid on in both the silent and live auction phase. The entire evening will be great as we celebrate St. George's and raise a lot of money for our school. I hope you will be part of this year's event.
