I Am RVA has chosen Greater Richmond SCAN as one of 4 area non-profits they will support over the next year.

We are excited to partner with this great organization. Please help us support their mission!

Our mission is to foster enthusiasm for bicycling in Richmond by encouraging a sense of community, promoting safety among riders and drivers, and creating pride in the city.
We aim to build solidarity and inclusion through a distinctive bike helmet. Our helmet is unique to Richmond, serving as a visually compelling symbol of unity and pride in our city.

Loren Squares Joins SCAN's Henrico CAC Satellite

Loren Squares joins SCAN's Henrico CAC Satellite as Case Manager, continuing her work for family advocacy. As the Case Manager for the Henrico CAC, Loren is a Family Advocate. Loren coordinates Child Protective Services (CPS), forensic interviewers, and law enforcement to schedule interviews at the Henrico CAC. She meets with parents or caregivers to explain procedures and talk through the process of a forensic interview.

Loren collects and organizes data for case tracking purposes and monitors clients functioning through their course of investigation and treatment. As Case Manager Loren also prepares data for Henrico's Multidisciplinary Team Case Review meetings, regarding clients recently seen at the CAC for forensic interviews.
SCAN opened the region's first CAC in 2004. In 2007, the National Children's Alliance accredited the CAC, recognizing the quality of services and the community's dedication to the CAC model. In February 2013, the CAC achieved accreditation again.

In order to better accommodate families and children in Henrico County, SCAN opened a satellite CAC in March 2016 in collaboration with the Henrico Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to serve Henrico County residents.
