KIDS IN COSTUME...LOST MARDI GRAS TRADITION OR MAKING A COME BACK?

Happy Mardi Gras!
Is dressing up in costume for Mardi Gras a lost tradition? Sure, people still dress up in the French Quarter, but that's not exactly family friendly. What about kids dressing up in costume along the parade routes?

I posed this question on our facebook page and was pleased to see that I wasn't the only one who dressed up as a kid and realized that others wanted to keep the tradition going with their own kids.
My post: "We always dressed up in costumes for Mardi Gras parades when I was a child. Now, I rarely see kids in costumes along the parade route. Click "like" if you dressed up for parades when you were a child. Is this a lost part of Mardi Gras?"
