Why do you think your school is a Quality school?Primarily because we know and look after our students. Our service is personal. As the Director of Studies, I meet every student on their first day and take care to follow their progress throughout their studies. The teachers have been commended time and time again for their patience, professionalism and care. Being a boutique independent college means we know names and faces - no-one is a stranger, which is very important when students are far from home. We ensure students have access to pastoral care as well as regular feedback on their progress though teacher/student conferencing, written reports and academic counselling. Importantly, our independence means we can react swiftly to student feedback. As an example, in late August students voted overwhelmingly to introduce a suite of elective classes. These will be introduced in October.
What made you join QE?
We are very conscious of the importance of maintaining a rich diversity of nationalities in an English learning classroom. At present, our student body represents 26 different nationalities but there is certainly scope for even greater diversity. The student experience is about more than learning English. It is about learning to live in a new culture, meeting new friends from around the world and often continuing to further study opportunities in Australia, all of which Strathfield College can accommodate. We would be very happy to welcome more European students to Strathfield College and this is where QE's marketing strengths lie.
Why would you recommend QE from what you know so far?
Certainly, QE is very active in promoting new colleges and we are very much looking forward to our first QE missions in Milan and Barcelona in November.

Quality Control visits more schools for Quality control

| This summer Carolyn visited
Anglolang Academy of English in Scarborough in glorious Yorkshire. It was a busy time for the school with summer visitors from Italy as well as the full house of students especially on their highly acclaimed teachers' courses. The feedback from students interviewed on site was fantastic. The staff were all most welcoming and the impression was of excellence thrughout, ably led by Gustav, Linda and the team.
Later I also went to the other QE Yorkshire school Melton College which is actually in the marvellous, vibrant city of York. Likewise pretty busy, the staff managed to welcome me warmly and their new college manager, Paul, went out of his way to make the visit successful. Once again the students were ecstatic and the school and gardens were looking their best in the sunshine.

Live Language, Glasgow

QE busy at Alphe and Studyworld
Quality English was at Alphe and at Studyworld LONDON last weekend and into the week.
There were villages at both events - up to 20 schools were involved. As one school remarked...it was a VIP area.
It was busy from start to finish, as well as at the excellent social events at both fairs.

Living Learning English is a well-established and highly regarded Home Tuition School based in Bristol. It has placements in many locations all over Britain, in the city, in the countryside and by the sea. Take a look here . It is interesting to read some of the actual Reviews from past students. This is a brand new website and well worth a visit.
Watch out for new courses at Living Learning English as they venture into English with Walking and other interesting combinations.

New Logo for Cork English College
After 34 years with a blue and white logo CEC will add a splash of colour. Red will be added to the heart of their logo. The colour will mark CEC's 35th birthday and this new logo will bring CEC into its 35th year and beyond. As part of their 35th birthday celebrations there will be an unveiling of the new logo in reception.
