Welcome to the latest Excelsys Xgen Newsletter which explores the use of the Xgen series in Medical applications.

 

We are delighted to announce that the Xgen Medical Range of power supplies has been enhanced to include 1 x MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) approval from input to earth (ground) for patient connected equipment.

Excelsys Xgen Medical Configurable Power Supply now offers 1 x MOPP from input to earth

Excelsys Technologies Xgen Medical Range of power supplies has been enhanced to include 1 x MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) approval from input to earth (ground) for patient connected equipment. Furthermore the improved products now allow customers to perform isolation tests on self-configured power supplies from input to output to 6kV DC.

The enhancements include the introduction of Y1 capacitors and Type Testing at 5675V DC (the DC equivalent of 4kV AC), from input to output. Carrying full UL60601-1 and EN60601-1 3rd edition approvals, the range provides low leakage current (less than 150µA available) as well as meeting the stringent creepage and clearance requirements of medical equipment. All products come with the industry leading 3 year warranty.

It also discusses the additional Risk analysis requirements for EN60601-1-1:2005, and emphasizes the importance of relationship building with your power supply vendor to ensure adherence to same.

Excelsys Technologies, are delighted to announce that we will be exhibiting at Del Mar Electronics and Design Show 2013 in California. The show runs from the the 1st to the 2nd of May. Excelsys products and information can be found at Booths:  265, 267, 269 and 332.

Updated Xgen  Catalogue Available Online

We have recently updated our Xgen Catalogue, which is available to download now. New features in the catalogue include an updated, easy to use Xgen product selector and updated derating curves. 
 
The Xgen catalogue also contains a wealth of technical and configuration support including mechanical drawings, signals and control implementation information, power ratings, safety and EMI information.
