The Petroleum Quality Institute of America (PQIA) is pleased to announce that PPC Lubricants has joined PQIA's growing list of lubricant manufacturers, marketers, additive suppliers, and other supporters working to help assure the quality and integrity of motor oils, transmission fluids, and other lubricants in the market.
Dave Klinger, President of PPC says "We are very employee and customer-centric, and I think that's the reason we've been so successful. Our company mantra is that our employees and our customers always come first. We continually challenge ourselves to find ways to improve and create efficiencies, as well as strive to achieve the highest quality standards in the industry in order to set ourselves apart from the competition." To that point, Klinger adds, "This is in part why we made the decision to support PQIA. The Petroleum Quality Institute of America has done a tremendous job in protecting and educating consumers by shining a bright light on the good and bad in this industry and making this information public on the
PQIA website. We hold ourselves to the highest quality standards, as does PQIA and we're proud to support their efforts and be their partner."
"We welcome PPC Lubricant's support and its commitment to quality demonstrated by its willingness, like all our supporters, to agree to our Supporter Code of Conduct." Further, Glenn adds, "While it is clear we still face serious challenges with poor quality off-spec engine oils and other lubricants in the market, it is with the help of PPC Lubricants and our other supporters that we are able to continue our work to help clean up the market by exposing such products."
To date, PQIA has identified and made public information on over 20 different brands of packaged motor oils and ATFs on retail shelves that can cause damage to car engines or transmissions. In addition, dozens more brands have been found that fail a claimed specification or are labeled with false or misleading claims.
