PQIA Welcomes the Support of JAX to Help Assure the Quality and Integrity of Lubricants

The Petroleum Quality Institute of America (PQIA) is pleased to announce JAX has joined PQIA's growing list of lubricant manufacturers, marketers, additive suppliers, and others in helping to assure the quality and integrity of motor oils, transmission fluids, and other lubricants in the market.

JAX, based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, is a manufacturer and supplier of industrial, synthetic and food-grade lubricants for machinery and processes.

Thomas Glenn, President of PQIA says "We welcome JAX's support and are pleased that prior to becoming a supporter, JAX reached out to PQIA with questions about the PQIA Code of Ethical Business Conduct. Based on those discussions, it was determined JAX needed to make a change to its practices to assure compliance with the CODE."

In the words of Eric Peter, President of JAX, "Although we primarily manufacturer industrial lubricants, we also manufacture and market quart bottles of motor oil. After reviewing our quart engine oil packaging to assure compliance with the PQIA CODE, we noted that we did not have batch codes on individual quart bottles. Instead the batch numbers were only on the cases. To assure compliance with the PQIA CODE, we made changes in our process and batch codes are now on each quart bottle." With that, Peter adds, "We are now in full compliance with the PQIA Code and it's a privilege to support the PQIA initiative."

"JAX's actions speak louder than words," says Glenn. "We applaud the company for making changes to assure compliance and we welcome JAX's support." Further Glenn adds, "JAX's support along with others sends a clear message that many independent lubricant manufacturers not only care about quality, they can deliver it."

About JAX

JAX, based in Menomonee Falls, WI, is a manufacturer and supplier of industrial, synthetic and food-grade lubricants for machinery and processes. With over 55 years experience, JAX has earned its reputation as a leader in lubrication technology.

As an independent company, JAX says it has the autonomy to compound lubricants without compromising superior performance for price. From formulating new lubricants for unique processes, to rushing emergency testing through its independent RPM Laboratory, JAX says these little, and not so little, things separate JAX from other lubricant companies. JAX is an ISO 9001-2008 certified company.

The Petroleum Quality Institute of America's mission is to serve the consumer of lubricants by testing and reporting on the quality and integrity of lubricants in the marketplace. It is expected that this improved visibility of quality will lead to wider conformance by lubricant manufacturers to specification and performance claims.

We can't do it alone.
