PQIA to Discuss Substandard Motor Oil at the 99th National Conference on Weights and Measures

State regulators and the Petroleum Quality Institute of America (PQIA) continue to find non-compliant motor oil products at retail according to the National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM).

To help address the issue, PQIA's president, Thomas Glenn will present at the 99th NCWM meeting in Detroit on July 15th. Glenn's presentation will speak to the seriousness of the issue and present a collaborative model PQIA has in place with several states to help protect consumers from harmful motor oils and transmission fluids.

PQIA encourages lubricant blenders, marketers, additive and base oil suppliers and others interested in assuring the quality and integrity of motor oils, transmission fluids, antifreeze and other consumer products to attend. AND, please let us know if you will attend... as PQIA's president would like to say hello and hear your thoughts on how we can help to protect consumers from harmful motor oils.  Caring About Quality

Help support PQIA's efforts to assure the quality and integrity of lubricants in the market.

The Petroleum Quality Institute of America's mission is to serve the consumer of lubricants by testing and reporting on the quality and integrity of lubricants in the marketplace. It is expected that this improved visibility of quality will lead to wider conformance by lubricant manufacturers to specification and performance claims.

We can't do it alone.
