PQIA to Discuss Substandard Motor Oil at the 99th National Conference on Weights and Measures Annual Meeting this July
|
April 23, 2014
State regulators and the Petroleum Quality Institute of America (PQIA) continue to find noncompliant motor oil products at retail according to the National Conference on Weights and Measures. To help address the issues, PQIA is promoting broader enforcement across state lines. PQIA made a similar presentation to the NCWM Board of Directors in January. The information was deemed of such importance that NCWM requested the encore presentation to a larger audience this summer at the 99th NCWM meeting in Detroit, July.13-17.

The Petroleum Quality Institute of America's mission is to serve the consumer of lubricants by testing and reporting on the quality and integrity of lubricants in the marketplace. It is expected that this improved visibility of quality will lead to wider conformance by lubricant manufacturers to specification and performance claims.
We can't do it alone.
