MAY 2016

Eradicating homelessness calls for much more than crisis intervention. It requires providing our homeless neighbors with a variety of wrap-around services that meet specific needs, along with life-skills training that significantly increases a successful transition into sustainable independence.

Your investment into the lives of those we serve is so far reaching. Stephanie's story below is another example of what sets A New Leaf's services apart from other shelters. Your choice to support us matters and we are grateful for it.

CAN THE CHRONICALLY HOMELESS RECOVER?

You bet they can!
Stephanie experienced homelessness as a child and carried on a pattern of mistakes that kept her homeless until she discovered A New Leaf and the much needed wrap-around services we provided her.

"There are so many families that deal with many barriers that A New Leaf works through. Without you, a lot of kids would go without," Stephanie shared.

THANK YOU EVMC STARS
This enthusiastic group of men from Central Christian Church
provide an annual BBQ for EVMC.

The men residing in A New Leaf's East Valley Men's Center have come to appreciate the kindness of the many groups who serve them meals daily.

These selfless helpers purchase, prepare and serve the meals, some of them taking on a schedule of one week out of every month - and they've been doing it for years! Often, they find time to chat with the men, listen to their stories and provide much needed encouragement.

Our long-time servers who started in 2007 are Central Christian ChurchSt. Bridget Catholic Church, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - San Tan Stake, and St. Anthony on the Desert Episcopal Church
