Zero Affordable Housing
About 40% of DMARC food pantry families face the added challenges of being unstably housed.

What does this mean? These families often need to borrow money to pay for rent or utilities due to an unexpected medical crisis or a lost job. They don't know when they may need to move. Some will double-up with friends or family for a short while, as they search for more affordable housing.

Yet, the availability of affordable housing in Polk County continues to shrink. In fact, a recently released report reveals that zero counties in the United States have enough affordable housing.

In these difficult times, your gifts to DMARC become even more important, as we work together to help stabilize lives, offer hope, and respond to basic needs. Thank you for your support!
