DMARC is in dire need of diapers. Yesterday, we had an order for diapers from one of our food pantry partner sites that we did not have the inventory to fill. Just take a look at our diaper shelves below. Unfortunately, this scene is all too common.

The demand for diapers from our clients is always greater than our supply. DMARC food pantry partner sites distributed over 156,000 diapers in 2013 alone. Recently, DMARC came across an opportunity to purchase diapers for just 15 cents per diaper. Please consider donating diapers or funds to help us address this need of Des Moines' children.

Because DMARC does not use our food funds to purchase diapers, we are only able to purchase diapers through donations specifically designated for them. If you would like to make a monetary donation to stock our diaper shelves, please keep this in mind. When donating online, select "Food Pantry Network" under Donation Allocation, and make a note under Additional Instructions designating the donation for diapers.

Of course, we also accept donations of diapers at our warehouse located at 1435 Mulberry Street. Larger sizes (3 and up) are always needed in greater demand.
