Greetings!
With two young children in tow, "Sandi" arrived at a DMARC food pantry with the all-too-familiar appearance of a "first timer". It was a look of confusion and embarrassment, combined with weariness.
Recently unemployed and looking for a job, Sandi struggled to find the right words, "I just need a little help to get by for the next couple of months. I have an Associate's Degree. I shouldn't be here. I was never supposed to need a food pantry."
Between tears of humiliation and gratitude, Sandi quickly received food and other short-term assistance that she and her family so desperately needed.
Each year, DMARC provides help for over 13,000 families when their household stability has been temporarily interrupted, as it was for Sandi and her children.
Today, you can provide a gift of hope and help support DMARC in this important work. Thanks to all who have supported us in 2012.
Blessings to you and your family during this holiday time!
