Meeting Logistics
Venue:
The meeting will be held at the Lister Hill Auditorium (building 38A). You can find logistical information about the NIH campus here. Using public transportation is strongly encouraged. Please arrive with enough time to pass through campus security, and bring a picture ID. Lister Hill Auditorium is about a 5-minute walk from the Gateway Center entrance. View Map of NIH Air travel:
Any Washington-area airport is convenient to the venue; National Airport (DCA) is linked to Bethesda and the NIH via Metro Rail. Buses and taxis can also be taken from any of the airports. The fastest taxi ride is from DCA (30 minutes depending on traffic), then Dulles (IAD) (31 minutes) and then BWI (43 minutes). Hotel:
Hotels in Washington, Bethesda, and Rockville near the Metro Red Line stations will be convenient to the venue. There are a few hotels within walking distance, including the American Inn of Bethesda, the Doubletree Bethesda, the Golden Tulip, the Hilton Garden Inn of Bethesda, the Hyatt Regency Bethesda, and the Residence Inn Bethesda. The ASCCT does not recommend any particular hotel.
Presentations:
Poster boards are 3' high x 4' wide; please ensure your poster will fit within that space. Oral presenters are asked to limit their presentations to 20 minutes, leaving 5 minutes for discussion. Powerpoint slides may be sent ahead of the meeting to Amanda Ulrey ( aulrey@iivs.org) or brought on a USB stick the morning of the meeting.
