Vincent Macaigne will be with us!
THE face of Independent French Cinema in 2013-14
Vincent Macaigne thought he would be stuck in the editing room for his next project, but - great news -we just got the call that he will join us for Focus on French cinema, at the Opening Night and all-weekend-long! The face of the "New New Wave" in French cinema, Macaigne starred in no-less than 3 of these productions in 2013 : 2 automnes 3 hivers (2 Autumns 3 Winters), La Fille du quatorze juillet (The Rendez-vous of Déjà-vu) and La Bataille de Solférino (Age of Panic). Tonnerre, released in early 2014, featured him in the lead role as well. The actor's amazing "run" earned him a nomination for Best Male Newcomer at the Césars 2014. His next movie, Eden, the story of a "French Touch" DJ from 1992 to nowadays - directed by FFC 2012's Guest Mia Hansen-Love - is a much-anticipated journey through the music popularized in part by Daft Punk.
