A New Look for our 10th Anniversary
Designed by World-Renowned Graphic Designer Philippe Apeloig

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Focus on French Cinema has asked world-renowned graphic designer Philippe Apeloig to create a design for this important milestone. As always, the Focus on French Cinema "F" takes center stage - this year paying homage to 35mm film.

With the 10th Anniversary being celebrated at Bow Tie Cinemas in Greenwich and Fl:AF in New York City, the use of the marquee is a tribute to the current festival and how far it has come in the past decade.

Philippe chose a white background to contrast the dark environment found in the movie theater - the result is a light and airy design. The use of the colors blue, white, and red are also to a nod to the flags of France and the United States and highlight the festival's mission - to foster awareness and appreciation of francophone culture and encourage dialogue between French and English speaking peoples through the powerful medium of film.

It is a simple and clean design that comes full circle celebrating our festival past, present and future. We hope you enjoy it!

Be sure to join us April 4-6 in Greenwich for our Gala and weekend Festival & April 8 for our closing night at FI:AF in New York City. Film information will be released soon!
